HHH Song Book Summit Hash House Harrier Song Book With Special Thanks to Woodford:[email protected] (Flying Booger) Converted from MSWord 2 files dated January, 1994 The material assembled herein has flunked every test of political, religious, sexual, and ethnic correctness known to man. Public performance of these songs will cause persons of refinement to swoon, and every one of them is guaranteed to offend somebody (in some cases, everybody). Hashers, thankfully, don't give a damn who they offend. That's why Hashers are my kind of people. This collection was made possible by the efforts of Hashers around the world, who freely share their favorite songs. In turn, everything here is meant to be shared. You're welcome to reproduce any part, or all, of this songbook (but be careful with the Monty Python stuff, which is copyrighted but too good to leave out of a Hash songbook—ed). This is a work in progress, with plenty of room to grow. If you know good songs (or bad) you don't see here, please send them to me for inclusion in future editions. I'll be happy to give you credit. My address is in the back. Hash Hymns III is dedicated to Hash House Harriers everywhere, especially my friends of the Tampa, Other Orlando, Phoenix, Okinawa, Hong Kong (Little Sai Wan, Hong Kong, and Southside), Bangkok (Saturday and Monday), Darwin, Orange County, Long Beach, Osan Bulgogi, Seoul, Tacoma, Puget Sound, Singapore (Lion City), San Diego, Fog City, East Bay/Mt. Diablo, San Francisco City, Honolulu, Aloha, Hilo, and Hawaii Full Moon Hash House Harriers. More thanks are due to the infamous Hammersley Hash, the North Shore Hussies (Auckland), and the Rotorua Hashes, our New Zealand hosts at InterHash 1994. Special thanks also to ZiPpy, Bollox, Beaver Bam Bam Balls, Ian Cumming, Sauer Krotch, Dum B.U.F, and Mr. Ed Cray (no hash name). Yet more thanks are due to the men and women of Air Force fighter squadrons, who started me singing and taught me all the basics. Without their help this songbook wouldn't weigh nearly as much. Note to Song Masters: Hashers love to sing, but not many of them want to buy a big thick songbook just so they can learn new songs. And even when they do, they usually forget to bring it to the hash. As a song master, I've had better luck copying one or two songs from this collection every time we hash, then handing out the copies at the circle. It's a great strategy to get people singing, and probably the best way to use this songbook. On-On! • 1 Here's a Sampling of the Comments of Heavy Porn Users About Life
Here’s a sampling of the comments of heavy porn users about life without Internet porn. Some have been sharing their progress for months. (Font changes indicate new speakers.) the real take-home from PMO for me was about willpower. I've been a 10-15 a day smoker for the past decade. Whilst drinking alcohol I used to practically chain smoke. Basically the type of smoker who'd smoke it right down to the butt and then eat the ashtray. Mentally, I was a million miles off being able to expel this habit from my life. But on day 50 of PMO I had a realisation. Why am I engaging in behavior that in no way serves my health and happiness? That is, in effect, killing me? I kicked that bullshit habit out of my life there and then, and it was easy. What I realised was that abstaining from PMO seriously strengthens your willpower. Go ask your peers if they want to quit PMO. They will look at you incredulously like you asked them if they wanted to quit breathing. This is because quitting PMO is insanely hard and the willpower required to see it through is mind-boggling. If you have a streak of any serious amount of time then you will have strong willpower because this faculty has been utilised and developed, not unlike a conditioned muscle. So I just hit day 25 today...I feel amazing. I feel so content doing whatever I'm doing. It's cloudy, rainy and cold out. However it feels like a sunny day to me.

  • The Experience of Gender Role Conflict in School Shooters: a Qualitative Study
The Experience of Gender Role Conflict in School Shooters: A Qualitative Study Polly Marston, PhD University of Connecticut, 2019 Abstract School shootings are becoming familiar events in America. School children live in a world where they fear violence and practice active shooter drills even during kindergarten. With no signs of the violence abating, it is of critical importance for the public to understand why these attacks are occurring. The purpose of this study is to examine the writings of school shooters for the presence of masculine ideologies and gender role conflict. Using the qualitative directed content analysis methodology, gender role conflict theory, and a feminist theoretical perspective, the writings of seven school shooters were analyzed. Little research attention has been paid to the sex and gender roles of the shooters. School shooters are almost universally boys exhibiting what can be defined as gendered behavior. This study examined the patterns of gender role conflict in school shooters’ lives. The findings found the presence of masculine ideology and distorted gender role schemas, three of the four outlined patterns of gender role conflict, and gender role devaluations, restrictions, and violations in their writings. The results provided evidence that the shooters in the sample wrote about gender role conflict and the resulting stress it caused in their lives. The limitations of the study and implications are discussed. The Experience of Gender Role Conflict in School Shooters: A Qualitative Study Polly Hannah Marston B.S. • The World of Arcadia. a Land Where Mankind Dwells on Floating Islands Both Great and Small
CYOA Welcome to the world of Arcadia. A land where mankind dwells on floating islands both great and small. Here , people travel between the lands on flying air ships, whether for trade , exploration, or even piracy. Under the six elemental moons, the world flourishes in an age of discovery and exploration. Technology is advancing rapidly and new lands are being discovered, but along with progress comes abuse , and a cold war plagues the greatest nations of Arcadia. Whether you seek excitement or wealth, there unlimited opportunities here in Arcadia. Use your 1000cp wisely, or blow it on junk and earn everything all on your own. Location Roll 1d8 for starting location or pay 100cp to choose . In Arcadia, not all of the continents are in contact with one another , and great sky rifts and reefs block travel between some lands for all but the bravest and craftiest sailors. 1. Silver Islands You start your adventure on one of the small, scattered islands beneath the Silver Moon in Mid-Ocean. No large landmasses lie beneath the Silver Moon, and what few tiny communities exist largely subsist on fishing or the gathering of rare silver moon stones. Other seemingly innocent towns have turned to piracy, like the settlement of Windmill Isle , raiding military or merchant vessels that sail through the sky with impunity. There's no central government to rule over the silver islands, and the largest nearby town is the trading pier of Sailor's Island, which sits where the lands of the Silver , Red, and Yellow moons meet. 2. Nasr Your adventure begins under the light of the Red Moon.

  • Letter from the President Holiday Party
SAUGATUCK-DOUGLAS HISTORICAL SOCIETY | BOX 617 | DOUGLAS, MI 49406 | 269-857-5751 | www.sdhistoricalsociety.org DECEMBER 2008 LETTER FROM THE HOLIDAY PARTY PRESIDENT Dear SDHS Members, I was trying to write a SDHS parody to the story, The Night Before Christmas, but just couldn’t get it to rhyme the way it should and get the message across. Que Sera, Sera didn’t fit this time. I know that a newsletter in December is something that has not been done in the past, but we want to continue to keep the lines of communication open all year long. The Society is busy and many things are happening and much will be happening in 2009. I guess you could say this is a small historical event. The recent Holiday Party was a success and it was wonderful to see so many of you come out, in spite of the weather. A Thank You to everyone who helped plan the evening and to Mike Johnson and his hardworking staff at Coral Gables. SDHS continues to move forward and you should all have received your membership renewal information in the mail recently. We hope that you will mail your renewal back to us soon. Your membership is important to the success of the Society. If you did not receive one, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected] or calling the SDHS office at 269.857.5751. For those who have responded, we thank you. Now for a plug --- we are in need of volunteers to plan the 2009 St.

Our Life in Poetry: New Poets/New Poetics January 29, 2008 7:00 PM The Philoctetes Center Levy: Francis Levy Nersessian: Edward Nersessian Braziller: Michael Braziller Calvocoressi: Gabrielle Calvocoressi Jordan: A. Van Jordan Rosal: Patrick Rosal A: Speaker from audience Levy: Welcome to Our Life in Poetry: New Poets/New Poetics. I must say this is the youngest group of poets we’ve had here at the Philoctetes Center, and you’re also alive, which is different than some of the other poets. We’re really working in that direction. We want the living. I’m very proud to introduce Michael Braziller. Mike Braziller is president and publisher of Persea Books, a literary publishing company that he founded in 1975. Mike will moderate tonight’s panel and introduce our other distinguished—I don’t know how to put this—young poets. Thanks, Mike. Braziller: Thanks, Frank, and I’d like to thank Ed Nersessian, Ellen Fertig, Adam Ludwig and Polly Rosenwaike for their help—and Patricia Brody was a special help organizing this particular panel. This is a Philoctetes poetry first, a reading by three accomplished young writers, followed by discussion of formative pressures and influences, and what of their lives has come into their poems. Each will read for about ten or fifteen minutes, and then talk for a little while, generally about when poetry first occurred in their lives and about their life in poetry. We’ll look a little—it’s inevitable—at the regional, the local, family, street, neighborhoods, small town, coming of age, along with social awareness, politics, social criticism.
