CLICK ON - PLUTUS IAS 1.PM Modi to launch financing facility of 1 lakh cr tomorrow. ● Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a financing facility of 1 lakh crore under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund tomorrow through video conferencing. ● Govt in July had approved the setting up of an agri-infra fund with a corpus of 1 lakh crore to extend subsidised credit for farm infrastructure projects.The agri-infra fund was part of the over 20 lakh crore stimulus package announced in response to the COVID-19 crisis. ● The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, the duration of which will be 10 years till 2029, aims to provide medium-to-long term debt financing facility. ● The move aimedPLUTUS to boost private investment and generateIAS more jo bs in rural areas. ● Under this, about 1 lakh crore will be provided by banks and financial institutions as loans to primary agri credit societies, farmer groups, farmer producer organisations (FPOs), agri-entrepreneurs, start-ups and agri-tech players. ● Loans will be disbursed in four years starting with sanction of 10,000 crore in the current year and 30,000 crore each in the next three financial years. ● PM will also release the 6th installment of 17,000 crores fund to 8.5 crores farmers under PM-KISAN scheme. Twenty crew members were evacuated safely from the ship when it ran aground on July 25. ● Online ship trackers showed the Panama-flagged bulk carrier had been en route from China to Brazil. IAS ● French embassy in Mauritius said a military aircraft from the nearby French Indian Ocean island of Reunion would make two rotations over the disaster area with pollution control equipment. 3.Gujarat announces Industrial Policy 2020. PLUTUS ● Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced State’s Industrial Policy 2020 the earlier policy of 2015 had ended on December 31 last year and was further extended up to the date of release of new policy. ● It is expected that the average annual outlay for the New Gujarat Industrial Policy 2020 will be upto INR 8,000 crore. Join Telegram Group https://t.me/studymaterialofexam ● The new policy will help lease out government land to industrialists, provide incentives to private industrial parks and provide “relocation incentives” to units looking to relocate especially from China. ● Now, up to 12 percent of fixed capital investment (FCI) will be given to large industries for setting up manufacturing operations in the state in the form of capital subsidy. ● In order to encourage more MSMEs to use rooftop solar power, the government will pay 50 paise more to every unit of solar power bought from MSMEs. ● The new policy has decided to provide government land to industries on long term lease of up to 50 years. This lease will be six per cent of the market rate. 4.Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy. IAS ● Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday launched the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy. ● The government will waive registration fee and road tax, and provide incentive of up to ?1.5 lakh for new electric cars in the national capital. ● Under the policy, the Delhi government will give an incentive of up to 30,000 for electric two-wheelers, autos, e-rickshaws and freight vehicles. ● The Delhi government wants electric vehicles to comprise 25% of the newly registered vehicles across the city by 2024, compared to only 0.2% at present. ● Govt. Join Telegram Group https://t.me/studymaterialofexam ● The first ‘Kisan Rail’ train for transportation of perishable goods with refrigerated coaches to assist farmers aimed at ensuring a fast transportation of agricultural produce across the country was flagged off on Friday from Deolali in Maharashtra to Danapur in Bihar. ● Indian Railways aims to help double farmers’ income with the launch of Kisan Rail. This train will help in bringing perishable agricultural products like vegetables, fruits to the market in a short period of time. ● The train with frozen containers is expected to build a seamless national cold supply chain for perishables, inclusive of fish, meat IASand milk. ● It is expected to reduce transportation costs by Rs 1000 per tonne compared with roadways and reduce travel time by around 15 hours. ● The train will operate from Deolali to Danapur.This is a weekly service which will run every Friday from Deolali, and return on Sunday from Danapur. ● The Centre had announced plans of starting special parcel trains called ‘Kisan Rail’ in the Budget this financial year. ● The train was flagged off via video conferencing by union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar and railway minister Piyush Goyal.
