10. Visit of Delegations/Dignitaries to UPSC: -

i) A three member delegation led by Hon’ble Chairman of Civil Service Council of Mangolia (CSCM) visited UPSC on July 3, 2019. A MOU was also signed during this visit. ii) A three member delegation ledy by Dr. Vera Jerabkova, Director, Diplomatic Academy and training Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic visited the Commission on 2.8.2019. iii) A delegation ley by Dr. Aly Shameem, Hon’ble Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Maldives visited the Commission on 27.9.2019. iv) A two days workshop on Interview Techniques for Hon’ble Chairmen and Hon’ble Members of State PSCs conducted by Administrative Staff College of (ASCI) was held at UPSC on 28th & 29th November, 2019. v) An eleven Members Gambian delegation headed by Mrs. Awa jow Auber, Vice Chair, Gambian Public Service Commission visited UPSC on 3.12.2019 for a study visit.

11. General Branch

i) Renovation of Ad-hoc Board Room in Ayog Sachivalaya Building: The Commission, in addition to the regular PT Boards also conducted Ad-hoc P.T. Boards from time to time. The Ad-hoc board rooms where these are held required holistic renovation. The renovations of Ad-hoc Boards have been done as contemporary functional rooms with aesthetic touch.

12. Hindi Branch

i) During the period, two meetings of the Official Language Implementation Committee were held on 20.09.2019 and 04.12.2019 under the Chairmanship of the Secretary, in which progressive use of Hindi in the Commission was reviewed.

ii) ‘Hindi Fortnight/ Hindi Divas’ was celebrated in the Commission’s office from 01-15 September, 2019. Various competitions were held during this period. On the occasion of ‘Hindi Divas’ on 17th September, 2019, the main function was organized in a magnificent manner under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Chairman Shri Arvind Saxena. Prizes / certificates were given to the winners by the Hon’ble Chairman. iii) Four Hindi workshops were organized on 7.7.2019 & 9.7.2019 and 9.8.2019 & 22.10.2019 in the Commission’s office in which 143 officers/officials participated respectively. -*-*-*-*-*-

X. PROJECT / SCHEME / STUDY/SURVEY OR INNOVATIVE WORK DONE BY THE STATE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONS.

1. Kerala i) (i) The online examination system has been expanded by including more engineering colleges. (ii) Aadhar based identification system introduced to identify the candidates. (iii) Online vacancy reporting system expanded to report vacancies through online. 2. Nagaland i) In a major step taken by the Commission. One Time Registration (OTR) of candidates, which is a preliminary process of uploading a candidate’s information and supporting documents to the Commissions through Nagaland eDistrict portal. This process eliminates submission of documents by the candidates for future examinations conducted by the Commission and scrutiny of applications. 3. Odisha i) Odisha PSC has successfully introduced Bar-Coded OMR Attendance sheets in the written examinations being conducted by the Commission, where-in the present/absent report can be prepared in the day following the day of examination. This is immensely useful in preparation of results in a shortest span. ii) Odisha PSC has introduced a successful technology for masking of candidates appearing at the interview. In the interview,a random code is assigned to the candidate and the interview board conducts the interview on the basis of that code, without knowing the identity of the candidates. iii) Odisha PSC has successfully introduced Bar coded attendance sheet during conduct of written examination. Earlier attendance sheets were being cheked manually, which was taking great effort and was time consuming at the Commission office. Now these bar coded sheets are scanned and attendance of candidates are quickly found out and system validated within very short time. 4. Rajasthan i) Counseling Letters system Online - An intranet based counseling letter generation application system has been developed in-house and implemented in September 2019. This system generates exam wise counseling letters and made available online for candidates through RPSC portal and candidates will download counseling letter with candidates credential along with detailed application form. ii) Visitor Management Application - A visitor management intranet application has been developed in-house in the month of December 2019 and implemented for officials of other department / commissions and candidates visiting RPSC. A visitor passed will be issued with photo (which is being captured on spot) along with details of officer to whom he/she want to visit and other required details. After visiting the concerned official/officer the confirmation being updated back in system he/she visited the concerned or not to ensure the same. Various reports being generated from system for MIS purpose. 5. Tripura i) Online receipt of applications and issue of E-admission certificate was made operational and compulsory for all Examination of Tripura PSC.
