Community Partnerships Activate Whittier – A community collaborative that champions a healthy, active Whittier. The program is a partnership between PIH Health, City of Whittier, YMCA of Greater Whittier, Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Boys & Girls Club of Whittier, Whittier City School District, Whittier Union High School District, Whittier College, Uptown Wellness Center and LEARN. Healthy Los Nietos – A community collaborative that champions a Healthy Los Nietos community, developed in response to rising rates of childhood obesity. The program is a partnership between PIH Health’s Family Medicine Residency Program and Community Health Education departments, the Los Nietos School District, City of Santa Fe Springs, as well as local residents and community-based organizations. Disaster Resource Center PIH Health Hospital - Whittier serves as a Disaster Resource Center MAKE A DIFFERENCE (DRC) for Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services agency. Every DRC serves as an umbrella for a group of hospitals, clinics and provider agencies in its geographic area.
