He is a graduate of the East man School of Music, former principal violist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, a founding member of the Stradivari Quartet, and is Professor Emeritus at The University of Iowa. Mr. Preucil is the recording artist of the method books of the Suzuki Viola School, was Chair of the Board of Directors of the Suzuki Association of the Ameri cas, and has served as the vice-president of both the American Viola Society and the International Suzuki Association.
