Riverwind Casino’s brings variety to music fans with upcoming lineup

NORMAN, OKLAHOMA (Jan. 7, 2019) – There’s sure to be a little something for everyone in Riverwind Casino’s upcoming entertainment lineup. From comedians like Ken Jeong on Jan. 19, to rockers on Feb. 16, to Country favorites such as Midland on Jan. 26 and Clint Black on March 8, there’s an act for every musical taste.

SHOWPLACE THEATRE The Showplace Theatre provides audiences with an intimate entertainment experience like none other in the region. The state-of-the-art venue seats 1,500 people.

Ken Jeong – 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19 Actor, producer and writer Ken Jeong, known for his scene-stealing abilities, has established himself as one of today’s top comedic stars. His screen credits include The Hangover, Knocked Up and the television comedy Community. He is a panelist on the new Fox TV show, The Masked Singer. Midland – 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 Made up of singer Mark Wystrach, lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy, Midland is the embodiment of Seventies California country, all smooth Eagles harmonies and heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics, sung with a George Strait-like twang. Jo Koy – 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1 Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings performing at a Las Vegas coffee house. As one of today’s premier stand-up comedians, Koy sells out theaters and arenas across the world with his infectious and explosive energy onstage. Randy Rogers Band – 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8 The Randy Rogers Band strives for authenticity in every word and every note of their new , Nothing Shines Like Neon. “You’ve just got to be true to yourself and you can’t fool anybody,” Rogers says of the band’s philosophy. Clint Black – 8 p.m., Friday, March 8 Prolific singer-songwriter Clint Black has long been heralded as one of Country music’s brightest stars. His many talents have taken him even further, as Black has transcended genres to become one of the most successful artists in all of music. Black’s continued success can be attributed in part to his deep sense of Country music history, and his humble gratitude in being an important part of it for 30 years.
