HAMPDEN PARK STADIUM Essential Venue Guide ’s National Stadium will be temporarily transformed for the XX Commonwealth Games, its playing surface rising by almost two metres to become a state-of-the-art Athletics (Track & Field) facility. On 3 August, Stadium will also host the Closing Ceremony of the Games. At Hampden Park Stadium

For everyone’s safety and enjoyment of the event, all spectators will pass through an airport style screening process for prohibited and restricted items before being allowed into venues.
