Skindred Announce Us Tour with Seether Kill the Power SKINDRED ANNOUNCE US TOUR WITH SEETHER KILL THE POWER OUT IN NORTH AMERICA ON FEBRUARY 18 th “A buffet of brilliance….Kill the Power is Skindred coming into their own as a band” – Kerrang 4/5 “Giant hooks and insidious melodies…an album with genuine crossover potential…Skindred have never sounded more relevant and ready to take on the world” – Metal Hammer 8/10 “Kill The Power is bursting with passion, power, diversity and a cool confidence and disregard for genre boundaries that should propel Skindred to the very top of the game” – Big Cheese 9/10 “Rebellious genre-jumpers who fuse metal with their rasta roots” – The Sun New York – February 4, 2014 – Widely acknowledged as one of the most devastating and enthralling live bands on the planet, Skindred have been a perennial force for musical invention and remorseless positivity. Last year alone, the band performed to audiences of over 2 million and made their Reading/Leeds festival debut on the main stage. With their unique blend of rock, metal, reggae, roots and dub they are in a class of their own. Skindred will release their eagerly awaited new studio album, Kill The Power on February 18 th 2014 in North America On Red River Entertainment distributed by Sony/RED. The band will now also make their return to North America heading out on the road with Seether and Black Stone Cherry beginning April 22 nd in Baton Rouge, LA. Skindred will also be performing at several major US festivals including: Rock On The Range, Welcome To Rockville and others. Over the course of four universally praised studio albums – Babylon (2002), Roots Rock Riot (2007), Shark Bites And Dog Fights (2009) and Union Black (2011) – Skindred’s reputation for producing the ultimate spark-spraying state-of-the-art soundclash, combining all manner of seemingly disparate musical elements into an irresistibly exhilarating explosion of energy and cross-pollinated cultural fervour has rightly earned them a reputation as a band capable of uniting people from all corners of the globe and making every last one of them tear up the dancefloor. The title track from the album, is also the first single and video. Skindred took to the streets and slums of India to film the clip which Revolver Magazine has premiered last month: http://www.revolvermag.com/?p=55383 “We’ve delivered an album that’s gonna make people rock for the next few years,” states Benji. “You know what? I can’t do anything about record sales, but if people come to a Skindred show they’re gonna know they’ve been there, you know? Ha ha! The music we make is not about Christians or Muslims, straight people or gay people, black or white or any of that shit. When people are in that room together it’s just Skindred , one unity and one strength!” Kill The Power is available for pre order now: iTunes Amazon Skindred Are: Benji Webbe (Vocals) Dan Pugsley (Bass) Mikey Demus (Guitar) Arya (Drums) http://www.skindred.net https://twitter.com/Skindredmusic http://www.youtube.com/user/Skindredofficial1 SKINDRED US TOUR DATES 4/22 Baton Rouge, FL Varsity Theatre 4/24 Mobile, AL Soul Kitchen 4/26 Fort Myers, FL Monster Energy’s Fort Rock* 4/27 Jacksonville, FL Welcome To Rockville* 4/29 Atlanta, GA Masquerade 4/30 Birmingham, AL Iron City 5/2 Chattanooga, TN Track 29 5/6 Baltimore, MD Ram’s Head Live 5/7 Stroudsburg, PA Sherman Theater 5/8 Clifton Park, NY Upstate Concert Hall 5/10 Bangor, ME Rise Above Fest* 5/11 Hartford, CT Webster Theater 5/13 Lancaster, PA Freedom Hall 5/14 Sayreville, NJ Starland Ballroom 5/16 Columbus, OH Rock On The Range* 5/17 Grand Rapids, MI Orbit Room 5/18 Chicago, IL House Of Blues 5/20 St. Paul, MN Myth Live 5/21 Sioux Falls, SD The District * - Festival Performance.
