Covid Update Whilst we are delighted that we are now scheduled to be sailing again at last, we have all been seriously impacted by the Covid Pandemic. Our revised schedule reflects regulatory compliance in relation to occupancy or social distancing. See also the details below about our requirements for vaccination and testing. Keeping our guests and crew safe is our absolute priority. Our operations are in accordance with our risk assessments and related health, safety and hygiene protocols. Subject at all times to review in the event of any changes announced by the Government and governing maritime agencies. This may mean that Day Sail guests may have limited access below decks and that guests may not be able to participate in sailing the boat as much as we all would like. Pilgrim has a brand new ‘fogging’ machine that enables us to sanitise every surface throughout the boat below decks. This will be done regularly and offers protection for up to 30 days after application.. We will resume full operations with normal occupancy levels and a more conventional regime on board in accordance with guidelines in place. Over the winter we made extensive adaptations to Pilgrim so we can be sailing again and in good shape. We have invested in new ventilation and on-deck dining facilities and have made other changes to make Pilgrim as safe and hygienic as possible. We now have a four berth and a six berth cabin each with their own (overnight) ensuite facilities. The skipper has his own cabin, and we are be able to accommodate our remaining crew in their own dedicated cabin. It’s different, but it’s still adventure sailing on a heritage trawler. Guests who have any questions or concerns can contact us by calling 01803 858148 and selecting Option 1 or by emailing: [email protected]

Covid Vaccination and Testing From 19th May we have adopted a new Covid Testing Policy. The essence of that policy is as follows:

1. Anyone who has had both Covid vaccinations, with the second one more than two weeks prior to sailing, has no further obligations at present and is free to board without any additional Covid testing.

2. All other Guests and Crew are required to undertake a rapid Covid lateral flow test less than 72 hours before sailing and may only sail if they confirm a test was carried out with a negative result. This applies until it is overridden by their vaccine status.

3. We will not board anyone who cannot provide this confirmation verbally. We will not undertake tests at the time of boarding. Advance instructions are being issued by both email and SMS messages to all sailing guests.

You can see the policy and find out how to obtain test kits by following this link: https://pilgrimofbrixham.org.uk/covid-testing-policy/
