How to reach your place of accommodation

1. Gokhale Institute Staff Quarters, Hostel and Guest House Campus

Institute campus and Staff Quarters and Hostel Campus are different. The distance between the two campuses is say 300 – 400 meters.

Gokhale Institute is near BMCC College.

While coming from Fergusson college road, one needs to turn to the left – just opposite Hotel ROOPALI. Then come straight till one reaches BACK GATE of FERGUSSON COLLEGE (Or IMDR Gate). Continue on the same road to reach BMCC at the right hand side. Further continue and pass Jain Hostel. Further continue straight to reach the Gate of the staff quarters at the right hand side.

Adjoining the quarters is the old stone building of AGHARKAR INSTITUTE.

From AIRPORT – Auto will take about Rs. 200 to Rs. 250

From Railway Station – Auto will take about Rs 70 to Rs 80 (Max Rs 100)

Those coming from Mumbai by Train can get down at the station SHIVAJINAGAR. It is just before Pune station. Institute is closer to SHIVAJINAGAR.

Long distance trains will not stop at SHIVAJINAGAR and some of the long distance trains may not go to SHIVAJINAGAR.

Those coming from Mumbai by Bus can get down at • PUNE UNIVERSITY if they are coming via Aundh. Auto will take about Rs 60 from there. • DECCAN GYMKHANA if they are coming via Chandani Chowk. This is close to Institute and Auto will take about Rs. 30

Weather in Pune Weather will be pleasant in Pune with temperature between 210 and 270 C.

This is off-Karve Road. Institute is located in the area called Mayur colony. Start going towards Kothrud. Then take right turn at the square just after Harshal lawns and karishma society. Continue for 300 odd meters and to the left is Indian Institute of Education.

From Railway Station – Auto will take about Rs 100 to Rs 120 (Max Rs 100)

Those coming from Mumbai by Train can get down at the station SHIVAJINAGAR. It is just before Pune station. Institute is closer to SHIVAJINAGAR.

Long distance trains will not stop at SHIVAJINAGAR and some of the long distance trains may not go to SHIVAJINAGAR.

Those coming from Mumbai by Bus can get down at • PUNE UNIVERSITY if they are coming via Aundh. Auto will take about Rs 80 from there. • Kothrud / Paud Phata if they are coming via Chandani Chowk. This is close to Institute and Auto will take about Rs. 40 - 50

3. S M Joshi Foundation 191/192 Patrkar bavan, Off Lal Bahadur Shastri Road, Navi Peth-Sadashiv Peth, Pune - 411030, Near Patrakar Bhavan Ganjave Chowk Auditoriums

This is close to Alka Talkies (Cinema hall) . Alka talkies a landmark in the city. From Alka Talkies start going straight towards Parvati. Then take Second right turn towards Patrakar Bhavan. Then road turns towards left. Continue on that road and to the left hand side you will find SM Joshi Foundation building. Opposite it is an old age home ‘Niwara’.

From Kothrud side Take Karve road and go towards Kothrud. Cross Karve Statue Continue straight to reach Yashwantrao Chavhan Auditorium Continue straight on the same road to find something like T Junction Continue towards left hand side towards Eklavya Polytechnic College To the left hand turn is J P Naik Institute

From Paud Raod side After Kohrud bus depot take left and continue towards Eklavya Polytechnic College To the left hand turn is J P Naik Institute
