It is not ahandicap but aretrospective measurement of best sustainable performances during the recent season so there may be differences from current handicap marks. The classifications are for all chasers and hurdlers down to aratingof140. Both the steeplechasers and hurdlers are divided into distance categories of 2miles to 2miles 2.5 furlongs, 2miles 3furlongs to 2miles 6.5 furlongs and 2miles 7furlongs plus.
