Farah Palmer Cup Semi-Finals Semi-finals farah palmer cup SATURDAY, 21ST OCTOBER, FORSYTH BARR STADIUM OTAGO SPIRIT NORTH HARBOUR HIBISCUS v Forsyth Barr Stadium Kickoff: 12:00pm Referee: Lauren Jenner AR’s: Tumua Ioane & Fraser Hannon The equation is simple this week for both teams, win and you’ll head to Bay of Plenty next week for the final, lose and it’s season 2017 over with! Otago Spirit earned themselves a home semi-final when they defeated North Harbour last week. The Spirit were in sublime form, playing with great pace and width, which paved the way for an impressive 34-15 victory. Coaches Jury and Kearney will take confidence from last weekend’s victory, but will be well aware that their troops will need to earn the right, as they prepare for a Harbour side looking for redemption. Players to watch: Kate Smith led the way at set piece time last week, securing 7 lineouts, including 3 off North Harbour’s throw. Whilst openside Georgia Mason has been in phenomenal form this season, she averages 6 turnovers per game along with 14 tackles, expect another big game from her. Midfielder Soraya Umaga-Jensen earns her second straight start after an impressive display last week. Umaga-Jensen a renowned attacker has the ability to break the line and also brings a great offloading game. Two schoolgirls earn the right to start, with Isla Pringle in the front row, whilst the elusive Cheyenne Cunningham takes her spot on the left wing. North Harbour Hibiscus: Despite the disappointing loss last week, expect the Hibiscus to come down to Dunedin in a confident frame of mind, fully focused on making it through to the FPC Championship Final. Blindside flanker Maryke Penman returns after having last week off, she will bring physicality to the Hibiscus forward pack and will play a crucial role in getting Harbour on the front foot. In the backs, halfback Cesca Luafalealo and fullback Briar McNamara possess dangerous running games, watch for them to have a crack when the timing is right! Be sure to get along to the stadium, 12.00pm kick off, for what is guaranteed to be a cracker of a semi-final. Show your support for our Spirit and cheer them into the final! 12:00pm, Forsyth Barr Stadium, Saturday 21st October Referee: Lauren Jenner AR’s: T. Ioane & F. farah palmer cup SATURDAY, 9TH SEPTEMBER, LOGAN PARK 6 OTAGO SPIRIT TASMAN MAKOS v Logan Park 6 Kickoff: 3:00pm Referee: Blair Malcolm AR’s: Joel Hibbs & Andrew Clarkson The Otago Spirit welcome Tasman to Dunedin for their first home game of the 2017, Farah Palmer Cup Campaign when the two teams meet at Logan Park 6. This will be the first encounter between the two teams so expect a tense battle as the sides look for their first win of the season. Otago Spirit will enter the match confident they can come away with the desired result after putting in a spirited display against Canterbury in Round 1. Blockbusting outside back Kilistina Moata’ane moves from the wing to second five and will partner her Pirate team mate Greer Muir in the midfield. North Otago speedsters Cheyenne Cunningham and Catarina Antunes have been selected to start on the wings, if the girls are given any space, it could spell danger for the Tasman defence. Loose forwards Henderson, Mason and Sisifa were nothing short of fantastic against Canterbury, look for them to dominate the ruck where applicable. On the bench school sensations Gemma Millar and Isla Pringle are named and will make their debuts if and when they take the field, whilst outside back Saane Kaufanga, after an impressive club season is also in line to make her debut. Tasman, who pushed Waikato close last week will travel with belief they can leave Dunedin with a victory. Tasman dominated Waikato up front last week, so expect them to employ the same tactics this week against Otago.

SPORT INTEGRITY REVIEW FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SEPTEMBER 2019 01 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 03 RECOMMENDATIONS 04 CONTENTS BACKGROUND 06 ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE, 12 WHISTLEBLOWING, AND THE INSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS 01 FOR SPORT INTEGRITY MEMBER PROTECTION 23 02 INTEGRITY ISSUES IN 33 03 CHILDREN’S SPORT ANTI-DOPING 47 04 PROTECTING AGAINST 63 05 CORRUPTION PROTECTING AGAINST 70 06 MATCH-FIXING SPORT NEW ZEALAND 02 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY KEY FINDINGS AND 1. This report details Sport NZ’s findings from public consultation on the Sport Integrity RECOMMENDATIONS Review discussion document undertaken from 31 October 2018 to 11 December 2018. 2. This report accompanies the Sport Integrity Review summary of submissions and analyses what submitters said, sets out the findings from this analysis and makes a total of 22 recommendations designed to address the key issues identified by submitters. 3. We believe the successful implementation of these recommendations is key to the continued protection and enhancement of the integrity of sport in New Zealand. 4. The recommendations include a mix of improvements and enhancements to existing institutions and mechanisms designed to uphold and protect the integrity of sport, in addition to the introduction of some new ones. 5. While there are numerous findings specific to each of the six areas we consulted on, the key overall finding from the analysis is that there is a lack of capability across the sports sector to deal with integrity related issues, particularly in relation to the reporting and management of sports integrity related complaints. 6. Sports organisations, particularly smaller organisations, are struggling to keep up with what is an increasingly complex and multi-dimensional area.
