  • Farah Palmer Cup SATURDAY, 9TH SEPTEMBER, LOGAN PARK 6
farah palmer cup SATURDAY, 9TH SEPTEMBER, LOGAN PARK 6 OTAGO SPIRIT TASMAN MAKOS v Logan Park 6 Kickoff: 3:00pm Referee: Blair Malcolm AR’s: Joel Hibbs & Andrew Clarkson The Otago Spirit welcome Tasman to Dunedin for their first home game of the 2017, Farah Palmer Cup Campaign when the two teams meet at Logan Park 6. This will be the first encounter between the two teams so expect a tense battle as the sides look for their first win of the season. Otago Spirit will enter the match confident they can come away with the desired result after putting in a spirited display against Canterbury in Round 1. Blockbusting outside back Kilistina Moata’ane moves from the wing to second five and will partner her Pirate team mate Greer Muir in the midfield. North Otago speedsters Cheyenne Cunningham and Catarina Antunes have been selected to start on the wings, if the girls are given any space, it could spell danger for the Tasman defence. Loose forwards Henderson, Mason and Sisifa were nothing short of fantastic against Canterbury, look for them to dominate the ruck where applicable. On the bench school sensations Gemma Millar and Isla Pringle are named and will make their debuts if and when they take the field, whilst outside back Saane Kaufanga, after an impressive club season is also in line to make her debut. Tasman, who pushed Waikato close last week will travel with belief they can leave Dunedin with a victory. Tasman dominated Waikato up front last week, so expect them to employ the same tactics this week against Otago.

SPORT INTEGRITY REVIEW FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SEPTEMBER 2019 01 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 03 RECOMMENDATIONS 04 CONTENTS BACKGROUND 06 ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE, 12 WHISTLEBLOWING, AND THE INSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS 01 FOR SPORT INTEGRITY MEMBER PROTECTION 23 02 INTEGRITY ISSUES IN 33 03 CHILDREN’S SPORT ANTI-DOPING 47 04 PROTECTING AGAINST 63 05 CORRUPTION PROTECTING AGAINST 70 06 MATCH-FIXING SPORT NEW ZEALAND 02 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY KEY FINDINGS AND 1. This report details Sport NZ’s findings from public consultation on the Sport Integrity RECOMMENDATIONS Review discussion document undertaken from 31 October 2018 to 11 December 2018. 2. This report accompanies the Sport Integrity Review summary of submissions and analyses what submitters said, sets out the findings from this analysis and makes a total of 22 recommendations designed to address the key issues identified by submitters. 3. We believe the successful implementation of these recommendations is key to the continued protection and enhancement of the integrity of sport in New Zealand. 4. The recommendations include a mix of improvements and enhancements to existing institutions and mechanisms designed to uphold and protect the integrity of sport, in addition to the introduction of some new ones. 5. While there are numerous findings specific to each of the six areas we consulted on, the key overall finding from the analysis is that there is a lack of capability across the sports sector to deal with integrity related issues, particularly in relation to the reporting and management of sports integrity related complaints. 6. Sports organisations, particularly smaller organisations, are struggling to keep up with what is an increasingly complex and multi-dimensional area.
