The Berlin to Copenhagen Cycle Route is a To Krakow region cycle route that connects these two vibrant German and Danish capital cities . Tour briefing and bike handover at hotel with our local representative. DAY 2 To Zehdenick/Fürstenberg and surroundings 35 to 75 km Your bike tour begins cycling along the Oder-Havel-Canal to Liebenwal- de. You'll continue along the Havel to the charming town of Zehdenick. You'll spend the night in Neuglobsow or Fürstenberg. DAY 3 To Neustrelitz 45 to 78 km Today you will find your way to the town of Stechlin and it’s lake which, through the writings of T. Fontane, plays a big role in many German legends. Overnight in Neustrelitz. DAY 4 To Waren 65 km A highlight of this tour is the amazing Müritz-National Park. This inviting park is scattered with more than 130 lakes with all surrounded by miles of paths and trails. The little village of Ankershagen, where the Troy- explorer Schlieman grew up, is located on your way to Waren or near- by. DAY 5 To Krakow am See - Güstrow 45 to 70 km A nice, easy ride for today as you bike through the Nature preserve enjoying the wildflowers along the route - "Nossentiner Heide" (heide is heather). Your day's end destination is Güstrow, renowned for the late artist, Barlach. Take the time to explore the Old Town and the E. Barlach Atelier. Overnight stay in Krakow region or Güstrow. DAY 6 To Rostock 54 to 78 km Your entire day is spent cycling along the Bützow - Güstrow canal. En route you can take a train to Rostock (at your own expense). You will spend the night in Rostock. DAY 7 To Nykøbing/Falster 40 km You will cycle from Rostock to the harbour and board a ferry for the 2 hour ride to Denmark and into the city of Gedser. After arriving in Den- mark you will enjoy beautiful biking over dikes and through small for- ests along the best beaches of Falster. Overnight stay in Nykøbing. DAY 8 To Stege / Island of Møn 75 km A beautiful ride is waiting for you today. Biking along the coast you'll arrive in the old merchants town of Stubbekøbing. Before you take the ferry to the island of Bogø, it's worth the time for a visit to explore the old town. You will spend the night on the island of Møn. This island has incredible steep chalk cliffs called "Møn Klint". Along quiet country roads you can explore this little village with its straw covered roofs, or find a beach to go for a swim in the Baltic Sea. Overnight stay near Stege. DAY 9 To Køge 50 to 68 km You can choose to bike to Fakse, which is about 50km, or to the cliffs of Rødvig, approximately 68km. From either you can take the train (at your own expense) to Køge. You'll start the day biking over the bridge from Møn to Zealand through a coastal landscape heading north. Villas, mansions, pastures and farmlands decorate the landscape. DAY 10 To Copenhagen 55 km A part of today's route is on bike paths along the coast. But once you get to town, don't miss a visit to the museum of Modern Art in Ishøj. All points of interest can be reached by foot from the central train sta- tion. Don't forget to make a stop at the Tivoli Gardens or go for a drink near the old harbour. In towns, there will be many choices for din- ner. What are the bikes like? All bikes are 21 speed , hybrid bicycles with upright handlebars (see below). They are comfortable to ride, and include a pannier for your things. Electric bikes are also available at a higher cost.
