The Bowie Outdoor Club will hold a 5K “Pretty Fun Adventure Trail Run/Walk” on Saturday, October 7. The event will include awards and prizes, food and drinks, and race t-shirts. The race is for young and old, and will divide contestants into eight different age categories, with awards going to top male and female contestants in each group as well as the top three walkers. “The trail will go up and down in and out of pine and hard- wood forest, grasslands, and rivers,” says the Outdoor Club’s Kristina Giard. “It’s not a race to worry about time or clean running shoes, it’s about relaxing and enjoying the view.” Early registration is $15 for adults, $12 for children.
