I strive to be a motivating, enthusiastic, well-prepared teacher to give my students on all levels the best education and examples of learning. I am committed to promoting the education and advancement of students and I am passionate about sharing in their journeys. I strongly strive to establish a supportive relationship with students, parents and fellow faculty to provide a nurturing environment while reinforcing their independence and self esteem. My classes are inclusive and safe at all times. Having degrees in Dance and also in Massage Therapy from New York State accredited programs, I aim to provide a healthy approach to my lecture and studio work to help prepare the artists for years of professional development. I desire a position with a University program or an institute where students are of the age to take dance and/or performance to serious intentions and a love for the arts. I know I would be a great addition to encourage, challenge, and inspire students, as well as collaborate on a fantastic team and faculty of educators. Single counts sounds eventually graduating to double and triple. Goal of this class, no matter the incoming level is to let them feel good about a basic tap audition Intermediate tap: Adding sounds to all basic steps. Shim Sham study. Difficulty in time steps and traveling time steps. Picking up choreography. Advanced tap: working on changing styles. Picking up tap from watching or verbal clues. Adding intricate extra sounds via pickups and pullbacks. Longer assessed combinations and fun trick steps/flash steps. Auditions well for the tap choreographer.
