About Chicopee

The Chicopee Ski Club is incorporated as a not-for-profit entity owned by its members. Chicopee leases the lands from the Grand River Conservation Authority. All facilities, lifts, equipment etc. on the land are wholly owned by the Club. An elected Board of Directors of ten volunteer members represent the membership as a governance board and assist in providing support to the organization. An enthusiastic team of employees conducts all of Chicopee’s daily operations – 25 full time year–round and 400+ seasonal and part-time employees.

Chicopee, like all businesses, must ensure its long term sustainability. Although the facility is closely associated with its surrounding communities, it is not supported through any tax dollars. Chicopee contributes $6 million+ into the local economy. Through viable business operations; excess revenues are reinvested in the Club to improve its products and services for the benefit of users throughout the region. This financial sustainability is critical to Chicopee’s existence now and in the future.

TAXES INCLUDED

Please note that Chicopee will continue to price our products and services in the manner to which our customers are accustomed… taxes will be included in our pricing. Even though this shows a “higher” price in comparison to other services, it provides the customer with the convenience of knowing what they are paying when they get to the counter.

SUPPORT CHICOPEE’S COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROGRAM The Chicopee Community Investment Program consists of financial assistance and raising awareness of the following three pillars: The Athlete Development Fund (aiding coaches and athletes to reach the pinnacle of their success), Everyone Plays (ensuring the opportunity for all children to participate in year round recreation despite economic limitations) and Waterloo Region Track 3 Ski School (teaching and assisting young people with disabilities to ski and snowboard). With your assistance through volunteering or donations, we’re all giving something back to the community.

WATERLOO REGION TRACK 3 SKI SCHOOL

The Waterloo Region Track 3 Ski School was established in 1990. Their goal is to provide children & youth with disabilities the opportunity to learn the basics of downhill skiing.
