Music and Music Science 28-30 October 2004
The Royal College of Music and The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm announce a public symposium devoted to topics of common relevance to music and music science.
The symposium will elucidate how composition and performance of music may interact with and profit from research in the areas of music acoustics, analysis, cognition, perception, performance, psychology, and theory. The program will contain presentations of leading representatives of the relevant areas, as well as structured discussions.
A public concert of contemporary electroacoustic music will be arranged on Friday, October 29 in the concert hall at The Royal College of Music.
The symposium will take place on Thursday, October 28 through Saturday, October 30 in the Auditorium (Lilla Salen) of The Royal College of Music, Valhallavägen 105. T-Bana Stadion.
Admission is free. The symposium will be held in English.

The symposium is jointly arranged by the Dept. of Composition & Conducting at The Royal College of Music and the Dept. of Speech Music Hearing at the Royal Institute of Technology.
