Putt Up A House 3rd Annual Charity Snow Golf Tournament Rules REGISTRATION Registration of Team: A complete team is at least 4 golfers. Registration Cost: $40/person Early Bird $50/person after Feb 9th Cost includes white fee (green fee) and banquet and awards ceremony immediately following the tournament. Refund Policy: A full refund will be given if the event is cancelled by Habitat for Humanity Camrose. A $5.00 administration fee will be charged for cancellations requested by individuals up to 2 weeks prior to the event date (Feb 9, 2019). No refunds will be given after Feb 9, 2019. **Cancellation in the case of inclement weather is highly unlikely. Please dress appropriately. TO PLAY THE GAME The ‘Putt Up A House’ tournament is played with a golf club and soft foam ball. What you will need: ✓ Warm clothes appropriate for the weather ✓ A golf club of your choosing. Limited numbers of clubs will be available from Habitat upon registration on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please bring your own if you have. ✓ A vehicle and a designated driver. What is provided: ❖ 2 playing balls per participant. ❖ Scorecard ❖ Map of the course SNOW GOLF RULES 1. REMEMBER WE ARE HERE FOR FUN AND TO RAISE MONEY FOR A WORTHY CAUSE!!!! 2. Please make sure your team is registered and you know which hole your team is starting on. There will be a shot gun start at 1:00 pm. 3. EVERY PARTICIPANT MUST SIGN A WAIVER BEFORE COMPETING. 4. There will be up to 2 teams on each hole and they will golf together for the tournament. 5. You will be provided with a route map for hole locations. When arriving at each hole, check in with the hole hosts before teeing off so they can record that your team played that hole. 6. Each team must have a designated driver. 7. Only the foam balls provided may be used. It is your choice as to what to use for a golf club. 8. Please mark your ball so you can identify it. You will be in a group with as many as 8 golfers. 9. Texas scramble rules apply. All teams play best ball, and scores are a team score. You have a preferred lie of approximately 5 feet from where the “best ball” comes to rest, not closer to the hole. YOU ARE permitted to use ONLY THE SNOW to improve your lie. Everyone on your team may take one shot from each “best ball” position until the ball is holed out (comes to rest within the circle around the flag). The total number of strokes (from each “best ball” position) will be your score. 10. No gimmies. 11. Mulligans can be purchased at registration. Take a mulligan and replay a stroke. Drop the ball on the spot from which you just played and replay. The first (bad) shot is not counted. 12. ANY BALL ENTERING A PUBLIC ROADWAY IS CONSIDERED OUT OF BOUNDS. RETRIEVE YOUR BALL WHEN IT IS SAFE TO DO SO. IF IT IS THE BEST BALL, TAKE A DROP AND PLAY ON WITH A TWO STROKE PENALTY. 13. ANY DAMAGE TO PROPERTY CAUSED BY A PARTICIPANT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTICIPANT. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. RESPECT PRIVATE AND PUBLIC PROPERTY. 14. DO NOT MOVE THE TEE BLOCKS, YARDAGE MARKERS, OR HOOPS AROUND THE FLAGS. 15. PLEASE DO NOT LITTER. 16. Use your own group’s discretion if you come into a situation that is not covered by these rules.
