NTR: The Hero is a 2019 Indian Telugu biopic based on the real life and acting career of N.T. Rama Rao. Produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha, Vishnu Induuri under NBC Films, Waaraahi Chalan Chitram, Vibri Media and directed by Krish. The film stars Nandamura Balakrishna, as did his father N.T. Rama Rao, Vidya Balan as Basawa Ramatarakama in her debut film Telugu, and music composed by M. M. Kiravani. The film features a sequel, NTR: Mahanayakudu, which showcases Rama Rao's political journey. The film received mixed critical reviews. Plot In 1984, Nandamuri Basawa Ramatarakam (Vidya Balan), asking Nandamuri Harikrishna (Nandamuri Kalyan Ram) for a photo album of her husband N.T. Rama Rao when he was younger. The film continues in 1947, when N.T. Rama Rao (Nandamuri Balakrishna) works as a subregistrator in the Guntur sub-smoking. He leaves and decides to turn into a movie star. To whom his ideal companion, Basavaramatarakam, and nandamura's faithful affectionate brother Trivikrama Rao (Daggumati Raja) give full support. Now Rama Rao reaches Madras to meet with the director L.W. Prasad (Jisshu Sengupta), who introduces him to the director B.A. Subba Rao (Naresh), and he is chosen without audition for the film Palletuori Pill. On stage, he meets the star hero Akinani Nageswara Rao (Sument) and both become good friends. Unfortunately, the film is delayed due to financial problems. Meanwhile, he is introduced to the film by Mana Desam as a cameo, and gets the opportunity in the Vijaya Productions banner on a monthly salary that produce his first film Shavukaru, which becomes a disaster. After that, Nagireddy (Prakash Raj) and Chakrapani (Murali Sharma) are planning another Project Pathala Bhairavi when everyone offers the name Akkineni Nageswara Rao, but director K.W. Reddy (Krish) insists Rama Rao as Tota Ramudu, who becomes a blockbuster and installs Rama Rao as the first star on the Indian screen. He soon moved his family to Madras. During this time, severe drought affected the Rayalashima region, with Rama Rao bringing together several industrial figures and collecting donations from the public, causing clashes between Nagirddi and Rama Rao. Angry, Rama Rao production, production, his own banner National Art Theaters introducing Trivikrama Rao as a producer tying his brother-in-law Rukmananda Rao (Vennel Kishore). He also gives the opportunity to his friends Tatieni Prakash Rao (Vasu Induri), D. Iogananda (Ravi Prakash) and T.V. Raju (Surabhi Jayachandra Varma). After that, Nagirddy and Chakrapany again approach Rama Rao, ask him to return, and he agrees. During the filming of the film Mayabazar, everyone objects to him playing the role of Lord Krishna, but he delights everyone with his divine attire. Later. Pullaya (Subhaleh Sudhakar) makes a dedicated film by Sri Venkateswar Mahatham, people adore him as a deity and devotees who visit Tirupati, complete their journey only after seeing Rama Rao. As time passes, the couple Rama Rao is blessed with 8 sons and 4 daughters. Currently Rama Rao is planning a project Seetharama Kalyanam in the role of Ravana, but no one comes forward to direct, so he himself takes the project for which he toiled in a steady position for 20 hours in one shot. After this tragic incident while he is on the set of Irugu Porugu, his eldest son Rama Krishna (Master of NTR) has died. However, he endures and completes the shooting, demonstrating his devotion to the films. Years to roll, Rama Rao and Nageswara Rao were awarded the Padma Sri government of India, where they despise as Madrasis Prime Minister Indira Gandhi (Supriya Vinod) when Rama Rao confirms that the pair belong to Andhra Pradesh. Later on, Nageswara Rao shifts the industry to Hyderabad, but Rama Rao remains back to find a permanent solution to recognize Telugu people. After all, the Prime Minister declares a state of emergency in the country, when there is a lot of atrocities and Rama Rao is snuck against. During the 70's Rama Rao decides to build Ramakrishna Cine Studios in memory of his deceased son, when his career is low. Thus, he makes the prestigious project Daana Veera Soora Karna in his direction, playing 3 vital roles, takes care of the production department and completes it within 38 days, which becomes a huge blockbuster. After that he grabs a few hits such as Adavi Ramudu, Yamagola, Vetagaadu, etc. At this point in time, the effect of Cyclone Divitzem hits Andhra Pradesh, which creates destruction when Nageswara Rao also accompanies Ram Rao, and they again collect donations for their welfare. There is a transformation, and Rama Rao decides to spend the rest of his life in public service. He advises various scholars and even the public asks him to enter politics. At this point, the ruling party begins to interrogate the son-in-law of Rama Rao and the Minister of Communications Nara Chandrababu Naidu (Rana Daggugumati), but he remains patient. At the same time, the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh are constantly changing teamwork Bhavanam Venkatarami Reddy (Nassar), (Nassar), Rama Rao's friend becomes the 8th Chief Minister, and he invites Rama Rao to the swearing-in ceremony. There, Rama Rao meets with the leader of the Congress Party, Nadenda Bhaskar Rao (Sachin Hedekar), who also encourages him, assuring him of his support. At the age of 60, Rama Rao decides to form a party that his entire family opposes, with the exception of his son Nandamuri Harikrishna (Nandamuri Kalyan Ram). Although Basavaramatarakam is selfless, she respects her husband's decision and gives her warm comfort. Finally, the film ends with Rama Rao announcing his party name, Telugu Desam. Mastering that art and capturing human minds into the soul of the characters of the film and mirroring the very own society was part of Mani Ratnam’s life for the past three decades. This research paper points towards some of the techniques employed and experiments conducted in visual storytellingin his various projects by using Miseen scene elements and cinematography in beautiful ways. In Roja what he Sasnthosh Sivan and Mani Ratnam experimented was painting the reflectors green, to look the grass greener than it actually is. In Thapalathy, Mani ratnam projected a yellowish light, like an aura into the protagonist which symbolizes his history and background. In Bombay, he throughout kept a blue tone in order to gives an element of mystery in the film. In Raavanan, he played with shades and light and that too in two different ways at the beginning and at the end of the films. In Alaipayuthe he presented the story more through the movements of camera and through micro expressions and symbolizations.Theglobalization and evolution of Indian Cinematography can be traced out through the works of Mani Ratnam.
