  • A Byron Story
‘One of the top 10 stoner rock bands of all time’ - Tone Deaf 2017 A BYRON STORY Byron Bay based grunge rock four piece The Badlands emerged in 2014, colliding as a group of musical talents from across Australia and New Zealand. Made up of NZ born Pauly Adams (Vocals), Mid-North Coaster Tommy Flint (Guitar), Melbourne’s Massimo Tolli (Drums) and The Sunshine Coast’s Alexx McConnell (Bass), The Badlands have become known for being the definitive emerging rock group to watch. This gathering of gritty, rock and roll showmen draws its influences from a veritable mixture of 60’s/70’s Blues and Rock, combined with elements of 90’s Skate/Surf Punk, which can be heard in the solid, grungy bass licks and roaring guitar riffs that underpin their songs. With a loyal following forming across Australia’s East Coast, these boys have got what every band needs. A serious level of sex appeal, combined with a lethal dose of talent, grunt and Rock n Roll vitality. Their last EP ‘Perfect Loser’ was released in August 2017 with a succeeding tour of Tasmania and Australia’s East Coast proving that their live performances are a testimony to their ability to not just entertain, but intoxicate the punters. Listening to Lead singer Pauly Adams you can all but taste the whisky infused nature of his growling vocals. The band have recorded 3 singles and an EP to date, with the first ‘New Age Prescription Product’ tracked and mastered at 301 Studios with Jordan Power and the second, ‘Never Know’ at Hydro Funk records, where it was produced and engineered by Dave Atkins and later sent abroad to be mastered by multi Grammy award-winning studio Lurssen mastering, based in L.A.

Full Biography Two of Australia’s most celebrated songwriters, Sara Tindley and Ash Bell, come together to form a timeless folk/roots collaboration born of tough love and deep humanity. Having worked closely but independently for several years, the duo recently joined forces to co-write and release their debut EP Going Out Clothes, a collection of songs which explore a new territory whilst maintaining their unique, individual familiarity, marking an exciting new chapter in the pairs’ musical journey. Sara Tindley has come to the duo straight from the release of her fourth album, produced by Nick Didia (Bruce Springsteen, Powderfinger, Pearl Jam). Their collaboration germinated twelve wry, insightful tracks narrating the turbulent life Tindley had endured since her last album, Time (2011). Produced by Chris Parkinson of Adelaide outfit The Yearlings, Time radiated the quiet beauty engendered through Sara’s friendship and musical partnership with the band. Previously, Sara has teamed up with country music luminary Bill Chambers to produce Lucky The Sun (2006) and has had songs from her first album 5 Days placed on the TV series East of Everything and Bondi Rescue.

vs. pearl jam album download Every Pearl Jam Album, Ranked. During the mid- to late 1980s and early ’90s, it seemed as though all of the most innovative bands had some sort of a connection to the Seattle area. After all, the glorious Northwestern metropolis served as ground zero for the siring of grunge—a movement that ushered in a vast shift in musical tastes, by bands whose songs still define an entire generation of rock fans. In terms of impact, it could be argued that Pearl Jam were the most influential of grunge’s four unwilling forefathers (Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden), and that their vast contributions to rock have inspired—and continue to inspire—countless artists. And they aren’t done yet: Earlier this year, the grunge granddaddies revealed the collaborative writing sessions for Pearl Jam’s next opus were well underway . With Pearl Jam’s third studio LP, Vitalogy, turning 25 on November 22, the milestone anniversary felt like an opportune time to go back, review the band’s catalogue with an analytical ear, and determine where this acclaimed album stands when stacked up against the rest of the band’s output. The following is our ranking of all Pearl Jam’s albums—starting with our least favorite. 11. Riot Act (2002) Pearl Jam’s seventh album was their first following the September 11 attacks and the accidental deaths of nine fans during their set at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival in 2000. As such, frontman Eddie Vedder’s lyrics on Riot Act revolve around personal and political themes, with one tune, “Bu$hleaguer,” squarely criticizing President George W.

The reason why I bring that up is because I wrote about moving back to Detroit from Atlanta and that record being a huge part of the soundtrack to that time in my life. This album is the soundtrack to the time right before that move. When the album first came out, us music fans were Vitalogy in the middle of an era of unbelievable music. By the time Vitalogy was released, there were so many great albums flowing through my headphones, it sort of got lost in the pack. I did. Very much Vitalogy. But every time it seemed like I was ready to dive in Vitalogy start obsessing over the third record, another epic album would drop. Mad Season, Above. Silverchair, Freakshow. Tiny Music. Fast forward to the year But my drive Vitalogy work was about 40 minutes away, so that left me with a lot of windshield time during Vitalogy week. What does that mean, commuters? Or more specifically, Vitalogy Vitalogy. As the months went on I made friends Vitalogy started to go Vitalogy socially in the city. Songs Vitalogy Corduroy and Last Exit served as the background to the Atlanta skyline as I sat in traffic. Not only was I listening to it every time I got into my car, I was learning every song on the guitar and pretending Stone or Mike got injured while visiting the city and Vitalogy had to fill in.
