Coda 112/210/115 Booklet.Cwk Juke Coda 112 BACKGROUND / HISTORY Warbler The original idea was to incorporate features from my favorite amps and call it the Warbler (1989). The design yielded an amp with qualities unlike any amp that I had heard or owned and ended my twenty five year quest for the elusive magic amp. I began to study my creation, researching the circuitry of the amps that influenced its conception. It became apparent that my off beat design subtly colored harmonic content as a function of frequency, producing a transparent ambient flavor that seemed unaffected by component choices and circuit arrangement. This essentially opened the door to formulating an amp strategy and sparked a synchronistic process which lead to developing and building the Juke in 1995, a remarkable piece of equipment that has exceeded all my egocentric expectations. G. R. Its compilation design provides uncanny musical responsiveness, unique tone coloration, and unusual effects. The Juke is the only amp with a interactive array of classic Ampeg, Gibson and Fender type equalization for the ultimate tone tailoring, three output modes of operation and a *Tri-Cone Speaker System. The Juke is the only amp that uses varistor modulators to produce the fabulous Magnatone pitch shifting vibrato. Plus, Valco bias modulated tremolo which can be mixed for a true vibrato experience. The Juke is the only amp that side bands the classic Ampeg type C reverb and uses a Magnatone recovery circuit, producing a spacious event with a decay that always hangs behind the notes. The Juke is all things not typical or available elsewhere. Its sensitivity, ambient clarity and dimensional tonality will reveal the subtle nuances of one’s technique and is ideal for all styles of music including acoustic. At home in the livingroom, studio or on stage, it beckons to be played. The Vintage / Boutique Recipe For A Feast Of Musical Flavors ! SET - UP SUGGESTION A - Set instrument volume and tone at 50%. B - Adjust contour, tone and pre-amp level. C - Adjust treble, bass, volume and presence. D - For a cleaner tone set volume at 3-4 o’clock E - Add effects (Reverb and Vibrato). UNDER CHASSIS SWITCHES Left to Right Fixed Bias - Out / Cathode Bias - In & Pentode - Out / Triode - In MAINTENANCE Like all tube amplifiers the Juke requires simple retubing from time to time. Below is a chart of tube location and tube types. The Juke was designed to use the common tubes manufactured today. High priced NOS tubes will not improve the Jukes over all performance. High Grade tested for noise and hum by Ruby, ARS or Grove Tubes should be used. The following list of tube are what I recommend (from right to left ). 1, 3 & 4 - 12AX7A JJ Tesla Low Noise 2 - ECC802 /12AU7 - JJ Tesla (large plate version) 5 - ECC832 /12DW7A JJ Tesla 3 + 5 - 12AX7A Tesla (large plate version) 6 + 7 Tung Sol 5881’s or 6L6’s 8 - 5AR4 Sovtek POWER TUBE REBIASING Fixed Bias Version I typically run tubes at 70 - 75 % of rated bottle wattage this translates to around .044ma / tube Remove back panels, installed new tubes, set output switch to triode, then locate trimmer pot and large 10 ohm power resistor at left end of circuit board. Connect DC voltage meter across the 10 ohm resistor. Adjust trimmer pot so voltage across the 10 ohm resistor is 0.88v for 5881 or 6L6’s. Replace back panel. • Our Annual Report New Waterfront Park for Milton Township BOOST to FARMLAND PROTECTION Water Is on Everyone's Minds These Days
SPRING 2016 | VOL. 66| GTRLC.ORG Protecting Significant Natural, Scenic and Farm Lands, and Advancing Stewardship, Now and For All Future Generations Our Annual Report New Waterfront Park for Milton Township BOOST TO FARMLAND PROTECTION Water is on everyone's minds these days. Access to fresh, clean water is a global problem that may be hard for some of us to fully appreciate, given northern Michigan’s incredible abundance of high quality lakes and streams. But if we’ve learned nothing else from the sad and tragic events in Flint, it’s that we should never take this resource for granted. This important lesson was driven home to me last summer when our family traveled to California on vacation. While driving through the Central Valley during a record drought, I noticed a roadside farm market offering fresh sweet cherries. Our oldest son told the farmer we live on the Old Mission Peninsula in northern Michigan, and the man’s voice became hushed and almost reverent at the mere mention of our home. He told us that we have the “best cherries on the planet,” and remarked that we are truly blessed to have plenty of water. He explained that his region was running out of water, imperiling his very way of life. After that encounter, I know for certain our sons will never look at Grand Traverse Bay with the same eyes. This year, we celebrate our 25th anniversary. From day one, your Conservancy has made watershed protection a top priority. And while we have accomplished so much in every corner of our region, we don’t plan to slow down now.

  • Medieval to Metal: the Art and Evolution of the Guitar MEDIEVAL to METAL: the ART and EVOLUTION of the GUITAR September 29Th, 2018-January 6Th, 2019
EXHIBITION RESOURCE PACKET Medieval to Metal: The Art and Evolution of the Guitar MEDIEVAL TO METAL: THE ART AND EVOLUTION OF THE GUITAR September 29th, 2018-January 6th, 2019 How to use this resource: This packet is designed to be flexible. Use it to help prepare for a docent-led tour of the museum, to inform a self-guided tour, or to discuss selected artworks in your classroom, whether you’re able to physically visit the museum or not. The suggested activities (page 7) should be used in conjunction with in-depth discussion of at least one related artwork. The guitar has been a signature element of world culture for more than 500 years. As the guitar’s ancestors evolved over centuries from the earliest ouds and lutes to the signature hourglass shape we all know today, guitar makers experimented with shapes, materials, and accessories, seeking the perfect blend of beauty and sound. Spanning centuries of design and craftsmanship, this exhibition takes visitors through the history of an object that is one of the most recognizable items on the planet. Art and music transcend cultural boundaries while the most recognized musical instrument—the guitar—has influenced culture beyond music. Through the years the guitar and its shape have been integral elements for artists such as Vermeer and Picasso and today they are incorporated into the advertisements of everything from clothes to car. What guitars are in the show? The following 40 guitars are included in the exhibition: Oud (North Africa) Maccaferri Plastic Lute (Europe) Silvertone 1487 Speaker
