Big-Hearted BT Staff Pitching in to Take Soccer Aid Calls in Cardiff
Jun 01, 2018 10:07 BST Big-hearted BT staff pitching in to take Soccer Aid calls in Cardiff If you’re planning to donate money to Soccer Aid on Sunday June 10, there’s a sporting chance your call might be answered in Cardiff. That’s because around 90 big-hearted BT and EE staff from south Wales are turning their offices in Stadium House, Cardiffinto a Soccer Aid pledge centre for the evening. They will be giving up their free time to answer calls whilst two star-studded teams – Robbie’s England and Usain Bolt’s World XI - battle it out at Manchester’s Old Trafford stadium. The teams this year will include Dan Carter, Michael Owen, Gordon Ramsay and Mo Farrah. All public donations to Soccer Aid will support charity Unicef's work protecting children in the UK and globally. An incredible £24 million has already been raised through the event over the last 10 years. The Government has promised to match every donation – and so double the total sum raised. In 2006, pop star Robbie Williams, who is a Unicef UK Ambassador, and his best mate Jonathan Wilkes came up with the idea of Soccer Aid. Robbie has captained the England team ever since. BT’s Kit Evans, who is helping to co-ordinate activities at the Cardiff contact centre, said: “The excitement around the office is building as we get closer to the big match. It’s great that so many employees from different parts of the company have given up their own time to get involved. -

With David Beckham... of the Beautiful Game and How in Some Places It Significantly Changes Some People’S Lives for the Better
ALEXA Mini: documentary ALEXA Mini: documentary was first approached about filming the David Beckham adventure For The Love of the Game for BBC1 back in Around the world the early summer of 2015. It was an ambitious project: JACKIE NICKERSON JACKIE I fly David Beckham to seven continents around the world in NICKERSON JACKIE seven days (we did it in nine in the end) to play seven games of football and, in so doing, demonstrate the global appeal with David Beckham... of the beautiful game and how in some places it significantly changes some people’s lives for the better. After playing in Australasia, Asia, Africa, South America, the Antarctic and and an ALEXA Mini North America, the filming would end up at Old Trafford (Europe), where he would play the final game and raise money for the charity UNICEF. I was immediately excited When GTC sponsors ARRI announced the ALEXA Mini at BVE last year, it immediately seemed that this about shooting this on my ARRI AMIRA. It felt right because would be a useful addition to the already popular ALEXA family. We were eager to get our hands on one to when I had shot a previous adventure with David Beckham, ALEXA Mini in documentary mode with 15mm bars, V-Lok review – but there was no chance as they were all quickly put to work. So, a year on, we thought we would in the Amazon in February 2014 (see Zerb 80, Autumn battery, moose bars, SuperSpeed lens, LMB25 matte box, timecoded Lockit Box and audio receiver for guide track find out how it is faring in the field and what uses it is being put to.
