With so much on, it can be difficult to decide what to see. A festival is all about discovery; so go and see your favourite comedians, but also go and see a new act that might surprise you. We hope you find something in our program that makes you laugh so hard your drink comes out your nose.

From the Canberra Comedy Festival team Tim, Paddy, Benjamin, James & Dave

Welcome

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2014 Canberra Comedy Festival. Canberrans demonstrated their appetite for live comedy with sold out shows during the inaugural Canberra Comedy Festival in 2013. This year, the Festival has expanded its program to deliver another world-class comedy event for Canberra. Comedy festivals are popular in all capital cities across Australia, and Canberra now boasts its very own. Not only is the Festival great fun for audiences, it brings visitors to the city and boosts our economy, and also provides opportunities for local comedians to develop and present shows, perform with big-name acts, and gain invaluable experience in the production of comedy shows. The ACT Government is proud to support the Canberra Comedy Festival. The Festival adds to the Territory’s diverse arts and entertainment calendar, and contributes to the rich social fabric we have in the city. I hope to share a laugh or three with you in March.
