Pre tours Panoramic Prague – Brief Introduction to the City This sightseeing tour aims to introduce Prague to you in your native language in two hours. The first part of the tour is on an air -conditioned bus equipped with a modern audio -phone system. We will show you the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, and the Lesser Quarter. You will then have about 45 minutes of free time to visit Saint Vitus’ Cathedral at Prague Castle. After your individual walk around the grounds of Prague Castle, you will continue your bus tour through the Old Town Square, around the Municipal House, and back to the point of departure, with com-mentary on the various historical monuments along the way. Included: transfers, English speaking guide Duration: 3 hours Price: 26 € Dates: 18.8.2018, 20.8.2018 Prague All in One The tour starts with a walk in the Wenceslas Square in the NEW TOWN, continues along the Royal Route to the OLD TOWN Square with Astronomical Clock and through the JEWISH QUARTER with its synagogues to the Vltava River embank-ment, where our restaurant boat is waiting for you. While you are enjoying delicious lunch on board, you will be taken on a 1hour voyage through the heart of the city. Your guide will provide you with informative commentary about the city and its landmarks. Nicely relaxed, you will continue by bus through the LESSER TOWN to the Infant Jesus of Prague. Climb on -board the popular funicular up to the the top of Pet řín hill to the Pet řín Lookout Tower, a smaller copy of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. A fter taking a stroll through the Pet řín Park you will get to the Strahov Monastery from where you can enjoy gorgeous views of the Prague Castle and the core city. Our walk takes you further to Loretto Cloisters and the PRAGUE CASTLE, from the rampart of wh ere you can admire the St. Wenceslas' vineyard with the unforgettable views. Our guide, who will be available the whole time, will acquaint you with the history of Prague and its quarters (Old Town, New Town, and Lesser Quarter) from the comfort of an air -conditioned bus. The second part of the tour will take you to the grounds of Prague Castle and the inside of Prague’s most dominant feature – Saint Vitus’ Cathedral. After a 75 -minute walk (approx.) with our guide, you will return by bus to the banks of the Vltava River, where you will board a tour boat. Here you will have the chance to relax or enjoy refreshments while admiring the beauty and panorama of Prague from a different perspective. The trip continues into the Jewish Quarter. Sto -ry of the Prague Jewish community can be followed to the midtenth century. During this walk you will visit the Old Jewis h Cemetery, whose foundation dates back to Fifteenth century, the oldest European synagogue - the Old-New Synagogue and several more. Built by Charles IV between 1348 and 1355 it originally served to safeguard the imperial and royal treasure and the Crown jewels and served also as the archive of state docu -ments. This gothic castle, enchanting you with its monumental architecture is situ -ated about 38 km southwest of Prague. After climbing the hill, an hour lasting tour of the interiors awaits you. Your guide will acquaint you with not only the history of the castle, but also with the life of Charles IV and fine arts during his reign. The variety of Kutná Hora architectural monuments and its well preserved structure of town centre reflexes its ancient fame and wealth until pre -sent. During your walk in Kutná Hora you will visit the Gothic St. Barbara Cathedral and Italian Court - originally a Royal Mint. You will no less admire the other beautiful Gothic, re naissance and baroque burgher houses or the unique stone well from 15th century. You also will visit one of the most interesting burial places in the world called Kostnice (Ossuary) in a small nearby village Sedlec. This chapel is decorated by more than 40 000 human bones, including e.g. a chandelier or the coat-of-arms of the noble family Schwarzenberg. Kutná Hora town has been registered at UNESCO heritage list since 1995. The historical centre comprises narrow, winding streets full of gothic, renaissance, and baroque buildings from the times of the Rožmberk, Schwarzen -berg and Lobkowitz noble families. You will enjoy a walk through the town with our guide while you will also visit the local castle: this second biggest Czech castle is full of historical furniture, artwork, tapestries and exquisitely adorned weapons. Český Krumlov also prides itself with the oldest preserved baroque theatre in the world. Dresden originated as a small fishing village, growing to become a spa and royal residence, to finally become the capital city of S axony. The most important historical monuments are the Zwinger and Albertinum galleries, the Hofkirche and Frauenkirche churches and the Sem -peroper opera house. During World War II, the city suffered by a massive air raid that almost destroyed it entirely ; however, it has been reconstructed and rebuilt. The better known walled garrison town of Terezin (Big Fortress) served as a collection camp for Jews from all over Europe and was misused for Nazi propaganda purposes during the visit by the Red Cross in 1944. The less known Small Fortress was a cruel prison of the Reich’s secret police - the Gestapo. If you are interested in the history of World War II and the Holocaust, come with us to the Small Fortress of Terezin and to the museum located in the Big Fortress.     KINSKY TRIO PRAGUE Veronika Böhmová - Piano Lucie Sedláková H ůlová - Violin Martin Sedlák - Cello Founded in 1998, the KINSKY TRIO PRAGUE is one of the outstanding Czech chamber ensembles. Since 2004 the Trio has had the honour of bearing the name ‘KINSKY’ by kind permission of the aristocratic Czech family from Kostelec nad Orlicí. The Trio studied at the Academy of Music in Prague under Václav Bernášek, cellist of the Kocian Quartet and has taken part in several master classes (e.g. with the Guarneri Trio and the Florestan Trio). The Kinsky’s international career has taken them all over Europe (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, England, France), the U.S., Canada, Mexico and also the Seychelles. In 2007 - 2009 the Kinsky Trio Prague organized its own series of chamber concerts at the Stone Bell House, an historic inn on the Old Town Square in their home city of Prague. They regularly record for Czech Radio, and their concerts have also been broadcast in Mexico and the U.S. Since 2009 the Kinsky Trio Prague regularly record CDs for the French label Praga Digitals (distributed by Harmonia Mundi). Their recording of complete piano trios by Bohuslav Martin ů has been warmly recommended by international music critics (Diapason, Gramophone, Classica, Harmonie, etc.). The other CDs include compositions by Czech composers Foerster, Novák, Janá ček and Fibich, and less known Russian trios by Borodin, Rimsky Korsakov and Arensky. …The Kinsky Trio catch the spirit of both early sets very neatly in performances of great charm and dexterity. ...     Old Town Square (Staromestske Namesti) in town. Behind the Tyrn Church is a gorgeously restored medieval courtyard called Ungelt. The row of pastel houses in front of Tyn Church has a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque facades. To the right of these buildings, shop-lined Celetna street leads to a square called Ovocny Trh (with the Estates Theatre and Museum of Czech Cubism, and beyond that, to the Municipal House and Powder Tower in the New Town. Continue spinning right until you reach the pointed 250-foot-tall spire marking the 14th-century OldTown Hall Across the square from the Old Town Hall (opposite the Astronomical Clock), touristy Melantrichova street leads directly to the New Town's Wenceslas Square passing the craft-packed Havelski Market along the way. Twenty-Seven Crosses Embedded in the pavement at the base of the Old Town Hall tower (near the snack stand), you'll see white inlaid crosses marking the spot where 27 Protestant nobles, merchants, and intellectuals were beheaded in 1621 after rebelling against the Catholic Hapsburgs. Today the sacred soil is home to a hot-dog vendor, and few notice the crosses in the pavement.
