The route starts at St John the Baptist (1) and from the Forecourt crosses Bath Street and continues along Palmer Street and up Catherine Hill turning right into Whittox Lane and then left into Castle Street before turning 3 right into Trinity Street and continuing to Holy Trinity Church (2). From the Car Park to the left of Holy Trinity porch go right and continue down the path and follow Valley 2 View onto Whatcombe Road. Go left up the hill and turn left on Vallis Road taking great care as there is no footpath here. Vallis Road Cemetery (Dissenters' Cemetery) (3) is on your left.

Leave the Cemetery by crossing the road with care and turn left keeping on the footpath along Vallis Rd and then after crossing Broadway and Nunney Road you will come to Christ Church (4). After leaving Christ Church cross the road by the Pelican Crossing 1 and visit the Memorial Theatre (5) where you 5 4 can see the statue of Charlie Robbins, a Great War veteran and dedicated to all who fought in the War.

This walk has been inspired by the men of Frome who fought in the Great War, 224 of whom are remembered on the War Memorial in the Memorial Theatre. It has been designed by members of the Royal British Legion, the Royal Naval Association and the Royal Air Force Association. Walkers are reminded to take care on hills, grassy slopes and busy roads.
