According to a release, Abhay K (/topic/abhay-k). imparted a "very engaging" lecture on the highly acclaimed work of Kalidasa which dates back to 5th Century. "The Meghaduta and RitusamharaKavya reiterate on the composite ecology and environment flora and fauna which is full of flowers, plants, animals, rivers, mountains, forests and clouds in its bounty."

He also recited the Earth anthem composed by him in the year 2008 which was released on the occasion of World Environment Day in 2013 at the India (/topic/india)n Council of Cultural Relations in New Delhi.

Since then it has been translated into over 50 languages spoken across the globe and used by a large number of schools worldwide to celebrate World Environment Day and Earth Day. "He has successfully set a benchmark for the world to follow and ponder which in itself is great tribute to Mother Earth," the release said.

Further, he also suggested that Ministry of Culture in General and IGNCA (/topic/ignca), in particular, can think of creating an institution of an India (/topic/india)n Poet Laureate, on the lines of US Poet Laureate where the poet laureate is a consultant at the Library of Congress (/topic/library-of-congress) in Washington DC.

"In order to let diverse linguistic poetic tradition bloom and sustain he further suggested to have the repository of poetry books published across the country, in all languages, at a central poetry library, and translate and publish the best of India (/topic/india)n poetry every year," said the release.

Abhay K (/topic/abhay-k). has been proactively involved in exploring his literary passion which resulted into many globally recognized and universally accepted famed memoirs, books, poems written, authored and edited by him.

His poems have been published in over sixty literary journals across the world. He received the SAARC literary award and was invited to record his poems at Library of Congress (/topic/library-of-congress) in the Washington DC, one of his book titled "The alphabets of Latin America" A carnival of Poem by Bloomsbury is also scheduled to be out in the month of June 2020. On World Environment Day, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) hosted a Facebook live series titled ‘Vision of Arts for the Future in Post Covid Scenario’. Dr Ajay Kumar, Regional Director, IGNCA Regional Centre Ranchi invited Abhay K, Ambassador of India to Madagascar and renowned poet to deliver a talk on ‘Protecting environment through Poetry’ on June 5.

Abhay K. imparted a lecture on the highly acclaimed work of Kalidasa’s which dates back to the 5th century. The Meghaduta and Ritusamhara TT Kavya reiterates on the composite ecology and environment ora and fauna which is full of owers, plants, animals, rivers, mountains, forests and clouds in its bounty. TT “Meghaduta of Kalidasa’s highlights the importance of owers, plants, animals, seasons, rain, rainbow, wind, sun, moon, stars, stones, rivers, mountains among others thing in our love lives, without which we would be reduced merely as bio-robots obsessed with numbers and statistics, dealing with various kind of growth rates,

and living a dismal life on a planet marred by loss of biodiversity and extreme climatic events,” said the speaker.

On the World Environment Day, an anthem for planet Earth, penned by Indian poet/diplomat Abhay K. has been translated into Quechua, a language spoken in the Peruvian Andes by the indigenous people of Peru.

Quechua was the main language of the Inca empire and still remains the second most widely spoken language in Peru and enjoys the status of an ocial language in Bolivia, Ecuador and Diplomat Abhay K to deliver lecture on Peru. It is also spoken in parts of Colombia, Chile and Argentina. "Protecting Environment through Poetry" on World Environment Day Earth Anthem, which was launched on the occasion of the World Environment Day in 2013, has already been translated into over fty languages and is used widely to celebrate the World Environment Day and Earth Day.

Recently United Nations celebrated the ftieth anniversary of Earth Day with Earth Anthem and used it for teaching Global Citizenship. The music for Earth Anthem has been composed by Dr L. Subramam and sung by Kavita Krishamurthy.

Abhay K. served as Deputy Ambassador in Brazil from 2016-2019 during which he visited Peru and other Latin American countries. His poem written during this period is all set to come out this month titled - The Alphabets of Latin America: A Carnival of Poems. His forthcoming poetry collection The Magic of Madagascar celebrates the unique biodiversity of Madagascar, which is also known as the eighth continent because of its unique ora and fauna.

Earth Anthem (/topic/earth-anthem), which was launched on the occasion of the World Environment Day (/topic/world-environment-day) in 2013, has already been translated into over fifty languages and is used widely to celebrate the World Environment Day (/topic/world- environment-day) and Earth Day.

Recently United Nations celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of Earth Day with Earth Anthem (/topic/earth-anthem) and used it for teaching Global Citizenship. The music for Earth Anthem (/topic/earth-anthem) has been composed by Dr L. Subramaniam and sung by Kavita Krishamurthy.

Abhay K (/topic/abhay-k). served as Deputy Ambassador in Brazil from 2016-2019 during which he visited Peru and other Latin American countries. His poem written during this period is all set to come out this month titled - The Alphabets of Latin America: A Carnival of Poems. His forthcoming poetry collection The Magic of Madagascar celebrates the unique biodiversity of Madagascar, which is also known as the eighth continent because of its unique flora and fauna.

Abhay has been invited by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts to deliver a lecture on 'Protecting Environment through Poetry' on the occasion of the World Environment Day (/topic/world-environment-day). The theme for the World Environment Day (/topic/world- environment-day) 2020 is 'Celebrate Biodiversity' and is being hosted by Colombia in partnership with Germany. Colombia holds 10 per cent of the planet's biodiversity.

As part of the Amazon rain forest, Colombia ranks first in bird and orchid species diversity and second in plants, butterflies, freshwater fish, and amphibians. (ANI)
