[email protected] Angelia Lin Instructions Angelialin_ Angelialin.com Printing Instructions (at home): 1. Open PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader (Its free!) 2. Choose File > Print 3. In the print pop up window under the Page Sizing & Handling setting select the poster option 4. Make sure settings are set as the below: 5. Select Print 6. Once printed, cut or fold off the overlap and tape the pattern together Cutting Instructions: 1. I recommend cutting the pattern with scrap paper (i.e wrapping paper) under the fabric to keep it from moving around when cutting 2. Place center front and center back line on the fold 3. Make sure you are placing the pattern lengthwise, which is parallel to the selvage 4. Weight down or pin pattern into place before cutting Sewing Instructions: 1. Cut out each pattern piece as instructed 2. Cut out 4 bias strips 1¼” wide at least 30” each. You can also buy ½” single folded bias tape in a similar color as your main fabric if available and skip to step 4 3. Press bias strips in half and then in half again towards to middle *Make sure to not stretch out the strip too much when pressing* 4. Split one piece of bias strip in half and line it up flat along both sides of the V-neck, overlapping the at the middle point 5. Sew down the middle ditch of the bias strip, when you get to the middle V-neck point fold over one side of the bias strip and continue the stitch 6. Sew an under stitch along the bias strip so all the seam allowance is attached to the bias strip 7. Cut a small slit at the V-neck point to create ease when folding [email protected] Angelia Lin Instructions Angelialin_ Angelialin.com *I highly recommend watching my video tutorial on how to sew this pattern with the following link: https://youtu.be/dDrW56HLjeg Sewing Instructions: (Continued) 8. Fold the bias strip under again towards the wrong side of the fabric, then sew a ¼” top stitch all around. Right side of the fabric should only be showing the top stitch 9. Line up another piece of bias strip flat along the armhole leaving excess bias strip at the top to create the straps later 10.Sew down the middle ditch of the bias strip and then sew an under- stitch along the bias strip so all the seam allowance is attached to the bias strip 11.Fold the bias strip under again towards the wrong side of the fabric, then sew a ¼” top stitch all around. Right side of the fabric should only be showing the top stitch 12.Continue that top stitch to the rest of the bias strap by folding in half and edge stitching 13. Trim the strap down to the below measurement based off of your size Size 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 Strap 12” 12⅞” 13¼” 13⅝” 14⅛” 14⅝” 15⅛” 15⅝” Length 14. Tack down straps into back top opening notches *Make sure straps don’t get twisted when tacking down* 15. Repeat steps 9-11 along the back top opening 16. Sew side seams together ½”, stopping the stitch at bottom notch. Serge and press open seam allowance if sewing with a regular seam, press seam allowance towards the back if sewing with a French seam 17. Clean finish bottom slits with a ¼” turn back top stitch 18. Hem the bottom edge with a ¼” turn back top stitch *I recommend making a ¼” stay stitch at the bottom before hemming to prevent stretching out the hem 19. Add either a back tack stitch or small zig-zag stitch at the top of of the slit opening to re-enforce the seam from splitting apart 20.
