Scott Murray, 770.754.1718, [email protected] or Bo Wagner, 404.630.2647, [email protected] Ross Rossin Ross Rossin was born in Bulgaria and at the age of 16 years, he entered the National School of Fine Arts in Sofia, graduating with an M.A. in Fine Arts. After multiple residencies and exhibitions in Japan, France, England, Germany and Greece, Rossin moved to the United States in 2001 where his art language matured into hyperrealism. “My paintings don’t look like photographs; photographs look like my paintings. Hyperrealism is simply my artistic philosophy that ensures the connectivity between myself, the subjects and the viewers of my paintings.” Rossin’s large scale, oil-on-canvas paintings can be found on the walls of The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.; The Center for Civil and Human Rights and The Carter Presidential Library and Museum in Atlanta, Georgia; The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York; as well as in the private collections of Andrew Young, Morgan Freeman, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and others. Heavily involved in Rotary International, Rossin has made impactful contributions through both speaking engagements and fundraising. His painting of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary, raised $170,500 for Rotary International’s End Polio Now Campaign. Learn more about Ross Rossin at http://www.rossinfineart.com.
