The player seeking transfer must complete the form and sign in Irish, and present the transfer form for signature to the Rúnaí of present and new Clubs. Adult Club Secretaries must sign (in Irish). 2. Forms provided by the County Committee for this purpose must be used by all players and clubs. 3. All transfer requests must be with an Rúnaí Chontae by 5.00 p.m. on 15th January. 4. It is the responsibility of the Player or Club seeking the transfer to ensure that the form is completed in accordance with Rule 6.5 T.O. 2019 and relevant Meath GAA Bye-Laws. All relevant questions must be answered in full otherwise the transfer, may, at the discretion of the County Competitions Control Committee, be ruled out of order. 5. The County Competitions Control Committee shall process and decide on all applications for Transfers and Permission to Play within the county as per Rule 6.5 T.O. 2019 and Meath GAA Bye-Laws. 6. Your Personal Data can be accessed by certain members of the County Committees, Provincial Councils and the Central Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association for administrative purposes. This will be done in accordance with our data protection policy only. In the event of an injury or insurance claim, details of your claim which will include your Personal Data will be passed to the GAA’s Insurance underwriters, Willis Insurance, Elm Park, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. Where is your Personal Data stored? Your data will be stored electronically on the GAA Player Transfer Database which is provided by Servasport Ltd, 11th Floor, Causeway Tower, 9A James Street South, Belfast, BT2 8DN. Who is Servasport Limited? Servasport Limited is a “data processor” who hosts the database on which your information is stored. We have a contract in place with Servasport Limited to ensure your Personal Data is stored safely and securely. How long will your Personal Data be stored for? Your Personal Data will be held for the duration of your Membership and it will be deleted by us in the event that you resign your Membership or you are expelled in accordance with the Official Guide. However we may retain your Personal Data after your Membership ceases if we decide that it is strictly necessary to do so in the circumstances in accordance with our data retention policy. How can I obtain a copy of the Personal Data held by the Club/GAA? You have the right to request a copy of all of your Personal Data and can do so by contacting us. The introduction of compulsory vetting, on an All-Ireland scale through legislation, merely formalises our previous policies and practices. 1 When will the Act commence or come into operation? The Act is effectively agreed in law but has to be ‘commenced’ by the Minister for Justice and Equality who decides with his Departmental colleagues when best to commence all or parts of the legislation at any given time.

In 1961 Jimmy played in goal for Dublin when they defeated Wexford in their last Dublin Captain Stephen Cluxton, raises the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship Final win. Little did anyone know then that it Delaney Cup in triumph at Croke Park in July 2013 would be a long 52 years before the Dubs would repeat that victory. Well worth waiting for, Jimmy!     2021 GAA MEDIA GUIDE Treoirleabhar na Meán 2021 @officialgaa 2021 GAA Media Guide - Teachtaireacht ón Uachtaráin Ba mhaith liom fáilte a chur romhaibh go léir ar ais chuig ár gcluichí The last 14 months have come as a challenge to us all and while we have some distance to travel before we can once again look forward to big games with full stadiums, there are green shoots ahead of us. Who could have known in mid-March last year when we took the decision to shut our activities down, that the Covid challenge would still be front and centre as the summer of 2021 approaches? The best of the GAA shone as we grappled with profound changes to our lives and the supports provided by our club and county network to those who needed them most was both heartening and reassuring. Our games when they returned were a welcome tonic. The club championships and all of the activity that preceded them helped breathe life back into communities right across the GAA family. Similarly, in the darkest days of winter the inter-county games provided us with a focal point and a welcome distraction as we grew accustomed to supporting our players and teams from afar. In the coming weeks, the Allianz League games will come thick and fast and the interest and excitement will follow. We have shown flexibility in organising our competitions, most notably in football where again a straight knockout approach will apply. I would like to acknowledge the buy-in from everyone concerned in helping to make both last year and this season work, and I have no doubt that the entertainment value and profile of the games will be as high as ever.

The first team recorded here were known as the Killana Shamrocks from the Greenpark area of the parish. Names such as O’Brien, Corcoran and Dillon were instrumental in the formation of this team in 1887. Around this period and in the early nineteen hundreds there were also teams established in Rathfeigh, Ross and Oberstown. Documentary evidence informs us that a Skryne team made its debut in the 1895 Senior Football Championship. Significantly this was the first time that Skryne appeared as a definitive team in an official Championship. Skryne, unfortunately had no great success in those early decades, although they did reach the Junior finals of 1910 and 1912, going down narrowly to Navan O’Growneys and Carnaross respectively.
