Gupta visited South Africa between 16th & 27th June, 2014. The other members were Mrs. & Mr. Ashok Popli (Safderjung Enclave), Mrs. & Mr. Daljit Singh Bhatia (Green Park Extn.), Mrs. & Mr. Bhagirath Prasad Agarwal (Vasant Enclave), Mrs. & Mr. Jagat Prakash Gupta (Nehru Apartments, Kalkaji), Mrs. & Mr. K.D. Jaitely (Navjiwan Vihar), Mrs. & Mr Uday Chand Jindal (Noida), Mrs. & Mr. Suraj Bhan Gupta (Jia Sarai), Mrs. & Mr. Vipin Kumar Bali (Vasant Enclave), Man Mohan Lal Malhotra & Shri Pal Agarwal (Noida), Mrs. Sharda Kochhar (South Extn.), Col. Mrs. Amrita Darnal (Vasant Vihar), Harish Narayan Gupta (Vishal Enclave), Girdhari Lal Gupta (Hargovind Enclave), Lakhi Ram Garg (DDA Flats Munirka), Gyan Singh Tokas (Munirka Village), Ms. Aparna Jaitely (Navjivan Vihar), Mrs. Laxmi Dabas (Saket), Mrs. Daya Vati Kalra (Safderjung Enclave) and Dharam Pal Rupal (Green Park). The delegation members also visited Capetown, Pretoria, Sun City, Johannesburg & Kruger National Park (to see various Animals like Deer, Elephants, Rhino, Hippo, Birds and Ziraffs in their Natural Habitat). The members also enjoyed Gold Reef City tour & went through tunnel below the earth saw the Gold Mine Rocks. The members also had interaction sessions at Capetown with Dr. Swati V. Kulkerni, Consul General, including Indians permanently settled. A dinner was hosted by the Indian High Commissioner at India House, Pretoria (Capital of South Africa) on 20/06/2014 in the Honors of delegation members. Shri Virendra Gupta, Indian High Incidentally, it may be pointed out that Ministry of Social Justice and Commissioner also briefed delegation members about South Africa particularly Empowerment, Govt. of India formulated National Policy for Older Persons in business relations as under:- 1. Nayack, Deputy High Commissioner. The artists also recited songs of Lord krishna and Hanuman ji. Chief Guest thanked the Council particularly its President J.R.Gupta in organizing this wonderful event on a very short notice. He also made a reference of MOU between Mauritius and Senior Citizens Council of Delhi already signed in 2006 for promoting exchange of views of groups of elderly of both the Countries.
