Built in 1908 and completely renovated in 1993, this Old Havana hotel is perhaps one of the loveliest residences in the city. The great lobby is enhanced by beautiful ceramic tiles, and the tastefully decorated bedrooms are adorned with elegant colonial furniture. Hotel Raquel "Old world splendour"

This newly-restored hotel has the most amazing façade, that takes one back to Cuba's colonial days. The interiors are an extension of the glorious architecture. Paintings by well-known Cuban artists adorn the walls, while pillared corridors and carpeted hallways open onto wide terraces and trimmed gardens. The hotel's Biblical name reflects the country's Jewish by zevhonith roots. The rooms exude an air of romance and affluence, while a range of modern amenities, along with an efficient staff, ensure a relaxing stay.

Tryp Habana Libre "On-Site Art Gallery"

Built in the centrally located district in 1958, the hotel passed through the revolution relatively unscathed, apart from a change of name. The outer facade has since received a face-lift, and has lost some of its former charm according to those who remember its original appearance. Hotel Nacional De Cuba "Gardens with Malecón view"

Occupying an entire block in the centrally located Vedado district, this is arguably one of Havana's most famous hotels. The establishment's impressive surroundings are somewhat eclipsed by its decorative lobby, adorned with ornamental tiles, sculptures and a singular architectural style. Built in 1930 and renovated in 1962, some of the hotel's more by Martin Abegglen celebrated guests have included Sir Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra and supermodel Naomi Campbell. Often used for local conferences, it is also the venue for Havana's annual New Latin American Film Festival. The rooms are quite large with decoration kept to a minimum.

This luxury hotel is located in the Miramar district, a short walk from the center of Havana, halfway between the airport and the old historic quarter.
