2019-2020 Sports Day Report SRI PARASAKTHI COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (Autonomous) (Under the Management of H.R & C.E Dept) Courtallam Department of Physical Education 56th Annual Report 2019-2020 Distinguished Chief Guest Mr.R.Gokulakrishnan,B.E., Deputy Superintend of Police, Tenkasi District. Respected Secretary, Respected Principal, Staff, Guests and students. With great pleasure, I present this 56th Annual Report of the Department of Physical Education Since 1978 our college has been Incorporating Physical Education, N.S.S and N.C.C. under part V of the curriculum. A pass in any one of these is mandatory to get the U.G Degree 825 students in II year and 776 Students in I year UG Degree Course have enrolled under part V Physical Education in this Academic year. Along with the normal games and sports, students are being given training in yoga. 1. ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY M.SaravanaPriya III Phy, M.Sonal II Maths (R), E.Kala IInd Eng (SF), has been selected as the Member of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Ball Badminton team. They are participated in the All India Inter University Ball Badminton Tournament held at Andra University Vishakapattinam 2.1.2020-10.1.2020. 2.SOUTH ZONE INTER UNIVERSITY 1. M.Karpagavalli-III Che, L.Chandraleka IInd Che and M.Mahalakshmi Ist Eng(R) have been selected as the Members of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Kho- Kho team. They are participated in the South zone Inter University Kho-Kho Tournament held at Dr.Dr.B.R. Ambedkar University, SriKakulam, Andra Pradesh from 26.9.2019-5.10.2019. 2. M.Sangavi-I MA Eng (Sf) and K.Kanaga IInd MA Tamil have been selected as the Members of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Volley Ball team She was participated in the South Zone Inter University Volley Ball Tournament held at SRM University, Chennai. from on 2.12.2019-10.12.2019. 3. K.Keerthana Devi – I MA Tamil and V.Athilakshmi- I MA Eng (sf) , S.Shanmugapriya IIIrd BBA and M.Subhalakshmi –IIIrd Che has been selected as the member of Monomaniam Sundaranar University Basket Ball team. They are participated in the South Zone Inter University Basket Ball Tournament to be held at Madras University, Chennai 10.12.2019-19.12.2019. 4. S.Arulsivalakshmi III BCA has been selected as the Members of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Hockey team. She was Participated in the South Zone Inter University Hockey Tournament held at Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai from 23.12.2019-31.12.2019. 1. INTER COLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT ➢ Our college team Participated in the Manonmanium Sundaranar University Inter Collegiate Volley ball, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Ball Badminton, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Kabadi and Hockeyand Hand Ball held at various colleges under Manonmaniam Sundaranar University from July 2019 to Jan 2020.Our College Basket Ball Team got 1st Place , Kho-Kho Team got 2nd Place, Ball Badminton Team got 2nd Place, Volley Ball Team got 2nd Place, Badminion Team got 3rd Place and Table Tennis Team got 4th Place, M.S.U Inter Collegiate Tournament 2019-2020 Overall points Runner. ➢ Our college Volley Ball team Runner place with cash award(2500) in ST.Joseph Trophy Inter collegiate tournament held at ST.Joseph college Mettur on 14.03.2020. ➢ Our college Throw Ball Team Winner place with cash award( Rs2500) in Einstein Torophy Inter Collegiate Tournament held at Einstein college seethaparpanallur on 29-02-2020 to 01-03-2020. 2. INTER COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC MEET In the Inter Collegiate Athletic meet conducted at Anna Stadium, Tirunelveli from November 11-12-2019 to 13-12-2019, 7 Students are participated. 3. STATE LEVEL REPRESENTATION ✓ Our college Kho Kho players M.Karpagavalli III Che, L.Chandraleka II Che, M.Maha Lakshmi I Eng (R), P.Selvi II Tamil Participated in the state level tournament held at Theni on 25-02-2020 to 28-02-2020 secured Third place. ✓ Our college kabaddi team participated open state tournament held at tenkasi on 21-09-2019 to 22-09-2019. ✓ Our college Ball Badminton players R.Muthupriya III Phy, C Anusuya III His, M.Azhagi II Bot, M.Malathi II Bot,V.Kannammal II BBA, participated in the state level Ball Badminton tournament held at Tirupur on 04.01.2020 to 05.01.2020. ✓ Our college Volley Ball player S.Kumari I Eng participated in the state level Volley Ball tournament held at Tiruvarur on 16-01-2020 to 19-01- 2020. ✓ Our college Basket Ball players S.ponnarasi I Eng (sf) and R.Rajeshwari I B.Sc IT participated in the Junior state level Basket Ball tournament held at Trichy on 19.09.2019 to 23.09.2019 ✓ Our college student S.Selvakumari I His state level five km Marathon got 3 rd place and Ten km marathon participated. ✓ Our college Hockey players (9) S.Arulsivalakshmi III BCA, G.Nagakani II Che, M.Jeyanthi II B.Com, S.Priya III Tamil, R.Muthupriya I His, K.Mahalakshmi I Phy, P.Poonkodi II Zoo, R.Selvi II Tamil and S.Vennila II Phy participated in the state level CM Trophy tournament held at Trichy on 24-02-2020 to 26-02-2020. ✓ Our college Kabaddi players T.Sneka II BCA, E.Kala IIEng(sf), P.Manju II Bot, S.Vanmathi II Com.sc, A.Santhiya I B.Com (sf),K.Karthika- II IT,V.Duraichi III Tamil,M.Hema I Eng(sf) I.Selva Saranya-I Eco participated in the state level CM Trophy tournament held at Madurai on 13-03-2020 to 15-03-2020. ✓ Our college Athlet V.Malathi I Tamil Participated state level CM Trophy Long Jump Event held at Nehru stadium Chennai on 24-02-2020 to 27-02-2020. 5. DISTRICT LEVEL ➢ Our college students Participated in the (CM Trophy) district level Badminton, Basket Ball, Kabaddi and Volley Ball tournament held at Our college and Hockey Tournament held at Vel’s Vidhyalaya on 22-02- 2020. 1. Basket Ball –Winner – 12,000 Cash award 2. Basket Ball(ARS club) – Runner – 9,000 Cash award 3. Badminton(D) – Runner – 2250 Cash award 4. Kabaddi - Winner – 12,000 Cash award 5. Volley Ball – Winner – 12,000 Cash award 6. I am happy to inform you that in this academic year 2019 to 2020 the Department of Tamil wins the Rolling Shield, Scoring 42+ Points and Second place goes to the Department of English Regular Securing 40 + Points. Lotus house II year secured 78 points got the team Championship, Rose house III year Regular Secured 42 points got II Place. Athletic Championship goes to First Place Rose house III Year securing 51 Points and second place goes to Jasmine house I year securing 48 points . Individual championship goes to securing. V.Malathi-ITamil – 15 Points. Staff vs. Students matches was conducted in Throw ball, Ball Badminton, Badminton, Volleyball, Tennikoit, and Table Tennis. Students won the match in Badminton, Ball Badminton, Volley Ball and Throw Ball. Staffs won the match in Table Tennis and Tenni Koit. In Staff Vs Staff Tug of war competition Arts staff won the Science staff. In Arts Staff Vs Arts students’ Tug of war competition, Arts staff won the Arts Students.
