Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford (CAN) strike gold Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford of Canada came from second place in the Short Program to strike the Pairs gold. China’s Wenjing Sui/Cong Han earned the silver medal and Aljona Savchenko/ Bruno Massot of Germany captured the bronze medal in their debut as a team at the World Championships. Duhamel/Radford put out a flawless performance to “Hometown Glory”, nailing a triple twist, side by side triple Lutz, throw quadruple Salchow, triple toe-double toe-double toe combination, a throw triple flip as well as four level-four elements. The Canadian Champions posted a new personal best of 153.81 points and totaled 231.99 points to defend their World title. “It was an out of body experience. We knew we were better than what we’ve done this season. It was to come here and do it for ourselves. Back in October at the Grand Prix, I thought we were out of contention for a medal at Worlds, I thought we would be fighting for 4th or 5th.

    March 21, 2019 Saitama, Japan Eric Radford is elected to the ISU Athletes Commission Today Eric Radford from Canada was elected to the ISU Athletes Commission as the Single and Pair Skating representative. Further to the decision of the 56th ISU Ordinary Congress 2016 in Dubrovnik (CRO) to introduce an ISU Athletes Commission, Radford was elected by the athletes competing at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2019 in Saitama (JPN). Single and Pair Skating results: Total number of votes: 50 Total number of blank votes: 0 Number of votes for Eric Radford (CAN): 27 Number of votes for Misha Ge (UZB): 23 The following athletes are already members of the Athletes Commission: • Speed Skating: Douwe de Vries (NED) • Short Track Speed Skating Athlete: Zhou Yang (CHN) • Ice Dance Athlete: Yuri Hulitski (BLR) The above-mentioned athletes and Eirc Radford are elected for the term lasting from the respective 2019 ISU World Championships to the respective 2023 ISU World Championships. In case of a tie, new ballots will be distributed to all Skaters for a second round of election. The candidate with the highest number of votes obtained in the second ballot is elected. Lancé en 2011, ce document réunit tous les seine et marnais sélectionnés en Equipe de France, soit pour les Championnats d’Europe ou du Monde, soit pour les variantes des Jeux Olympiques (comme les Jeux Méditerranéens, Jeux Mondiaux ou Jeux de la Francophonie).
