The park is incredibly rich in wildlife and is home to flamingoes, guanacos, condors, and a huge variety of bird life as well as many endangered species such as the Huemul deer and the puma. The hike continues for about an hour through a beautiful valley before you reach the De Agostina base camp. This is where some of the world's best climbers flock to try and climb the tower, renown as one of the most challenging climbs in the world. A little bit further you finally reach Cerro Torre with a magnificent view of the Egger, Standhard and Bifida peaks, as well as the Adelas cord with its stunning glaciers spilling into the lagoon.
