Carole Ann Taylor is currently owner of the retail stores Little Havana To Go and Miami To Go in Little Havana and at Miami International Airport with her son, Jaesyn Mixon. Taylor serves on the Executive Committee of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and is the chair of its Community Relations Committee. She is a board member of Perfumania, Inc., Viernes Culturales, the Visitor Industry Council, Diaspora Vibe Gallery and the Omni Advisory Board. A successful entrepreneur, Taylor was named "International Businesswoman of the Year" in 2004 by the Organization of Women in International Trade and "Minority Retail Firm of the Year" for the Southeast Region by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Commerce in 2006. She has been involved in the travel and tourism industry for many years following her service as Assistant to Mayor Maurice Ferre in Miami and Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller in New York. A former professional jazz singer, Ms. Taylor is a graduate of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.
