This festival is, in many ways, a unique and historic event. Winemakers and winelovers have gathered together in one of the world's newest wine-producing regions to celebrate the beauty and diversity of one of the world's oldest and most noble wine varieties, Pinot noir. For all its delightful qualities, Pinot noir is an extremely difficult wine variety to grow and to produce. There are only a few regions in the world where it can be grown successfully.
