344859-Sample.Pdf Sample file Credits About the (Real) Author I'm Danny and this is my first published work to the DMs Designer: Daniel Kay Guild. I am from the absolutely wonderful and not at all in Writer: Daniel Kay decline country of England, and I enjoy animation, hip hop, Artist: Daniel Kay films, video games, and overworking myself with whatever project I get obsessed with doing at the time. Cover Logo Artist: C. R. Bone I have been DMing sessions for D&D for about 5 years now Font Consultants: C. R. Bone, Rozalinde Fairholm after a lacklustre attempt at playing PathFinder led to me Unnamed Search Engine Research Intern: Daniel Kay going to D&D 5e. I had the benefit of being unemployed at Document Made With: GM Binder the time, fresh out of university, riding the waves of a savings account I sensibly couldn't touch until I left. Some stats have been converted from the following sources: The lore is mostly based on research I performed on the D&D 3.5's five Monster Manuals real animals and heavily inspired by the original texts if they D&D Dark Sun come from previous editions. D&D 3.5's Dracanomicon The character that "wrote" this bestiary is one from my D&D 3.5's Frostburn homebrew world, and the lore is written as they act/appear in D&D 3.5's Sandstorm my world. However, I have written it to be as setting neutral D&D 3.5's Stormwrack as possible. Of course, you can just apply your own lore to the Dragon Magazine issues #321 and #344 creatures here as you desire. The hard work and research I put into this doesn't need to mean anything to you at all! (But On the Cover for real, it's chill). Referenced also in this document is the Pewter Pot I've always liked simple covers on books. I wanted to Printing Company, another reference to my world - the first replicate the leather covered books with goldleaf text that has printing press that may be a little less-than-stellar with their a texture to it. I have tried to replicate that here, with a logo business practices and originality of their works. A fun little that has a dragon on one side and a bird on the other, to inclusion for my players really. represent the animal and dragon side of this document. I made this out of passion and just wanting to work on something. It was a one person operation (with the emotional support of my players and friends of course). I wanted to test myself and prove that I can actually work on a project. I did this all in 3-4 months while balancing two campaigns that I DM, one that I play in, and a good ol' 9-5 job (well, 9:30-5:30 but that's besides the point). I even pushed myself into doing the art, which is not exactly something I would want to do (I don't consider myself much of an artist). I love to draw, but this was extremely out of my wheelhouse and comfort. But you don't improve by sticking to comfort zones. I have also made this product a PWYW product because I want to feed back into the community that inspired me with products I could pick up for free or cheap. Not everyone that plays has a disposable income and should still be able to find resources they can use. Though if you do want to pay for this, that's lovely and I appreciate you. This was a long winded way to say that I hope you enjoy what I have written here. I hope that even just one of these is useful to you. If you use any of these, feel free to let me know Legal on Twitter - I'd love to hear if any of these kill a character help DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, D&D, Wizards of the Coast, you with your sessions. And if you want, give me a follow and Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, Eberron, the dragon we might even be able to be friends. • Aboleth Mage
Tuesday, 15 November 2016 Monster: Aboleth Mage Monster: Aboleth Mage For completeness' sake let's convert the aboleth mage, presented in Monster Manual. The aboleths are psionic creatures, but Monster Manual was released before Expanded Psionics Handbook, and I think this is why there was an "improved" monster included. This monster is based on the aboleth racial template from this post and uses Sorcery for its magical abilities. If I recall correctly, Lords of Madness mentions the aboleths use their special glyph magic, which I probably will try to represent later as an alphabet for Symbol magic. Typical Stats – Aboleth Mage ST: 36 (KYOS: 30) HP: 41 (KYOS: 37) Speed: 6.5 DX: 11 Will: 15 Move: 2 ground, 6 water IQ: 15 Per: 15 HT: 15 FP: 20 SM: +3 Dodge: 9 Parry: N/A DR: 3 (7 with Armor 2) Bite (11): 2d-2 cutting (KYOS: 3d-3 cutting). Reach C. Tentacle (11): 4d-2 crushing (KYOS: 5d+1 crushing) + follow-up 1d corrosion (10 1-minute cycles, HT-3 resist). Reach C. 1-3. Being moistened with cool, fresh water negates cycle damage. Using the follow-up damage costs 1 FP. Mucus Cloud (HT): Any creature that makes skin-to-skin contact with the aboleth must make a successful HT roll or lose the ability to breathe air and gain that ability to breathe water for a number of minutes equal to the margin of failure. Using this ability costs 1 FP. Wall of Ectoplasm (7): The aboleth can create a wall of ectoplasm of any shape it chooses in any place within 100 yards.

  • The Malconvoker Report
The Malconvoker Report With the lesser planar binding , planar binding , and greater planar binding spells, a Malconvoker has a wide variety of binding options. The merits of a bound creature are quite different from those of a summoned creature. One – the gloves are off. The only hard limit is a creature’s HD Therefore, even though there’s some pretty big summon monster lists out there, it doesn’t compare to what you can bind – any elemental or outsider, period. Two – these spells work off HD. Summon Monster roughly works off CR. There are a number of sweet spots where you can get a creature whose CR is far in excess of their HD. But this also means there’s “dead spots”. A 9 HD creature is pretty much off the table for Planar Binds – it’s too high for Lesser, and there’s not a 9 HD creature in existence that is better at anything than the 12-14 HD options with Planar Binding. Summons are mainly for fighting. They are only around for a minute or two, so their utility for scouting, discussion, etc. is minimal. Also, spell-likes that are 1/day are perfect for summons, because you don’t have to worry about the rest of the day. So if you just need a quick raise dead, summon something that can do it and you’re done – what I call ‘spell replacement’ summons, where you are basically burning a Summon Monster to get a spell you don’t otherwise have on hand. Binds are for the long haul.

SampleF ORWARDfile This is my Homebrewed conversion of the D&D 3.5 Urskan creature race into a D&D 5e Player Race. The Urskan race is from the D&D 3.5 Book Frostburn: Mastering the Perils of Ice and Snow (2004) by Wolfgang Baur, James Jacobs, and George Strayton. In order to convert this incredible race into a player race, I have weakened it considerably to make it more in line with the D&D 5e player races. I also added a conversion of the original D&D 3.5 creature as the Dire Urskan in the appendix of this document. I have also added five subraces in order to differentiate between the possible differences in different bear types, and I hope these are enjoyable to everyone in order to create many different types of bear- people. I am sorry if anything I do is in anyway problematic with Copyright issues, but it seems fine according to what the DM Guild information page at www.dmsguild.com/whatisdmsguild.php says under the section “What Can I Publish?”, which says “you can convert magic items, monsters, character classes, spells, etc.
