Because of you, students are exploring our world in STEM classes, creating beautiful drawings and paintings in visual arts classes, and playing symphonies in outstanding music classes. Every day, our students benefit from wonderful opportunities that YOU helped make possible. In 2017-2018, 3,471 of you supported our students with your contributions. Thanks to you, the Ed Foundation funded $2.73 million in programs in our schools for the 2018-2019 school year. In this report, we celebrate your support of our students, and the opportunities you helped create to ensure an exceptional, equitable education for our children. PROGRAMS FUNDED BY ANNUAL DONATIONS Elementary Arts Education Elementary students thrive with 30 weeks of standards-based visual arts, music or theatre curriculum. This distinguishes SMMUSD as one of the few districts in the state to have a comprehensive TK-12 visual and performing arts program.
