At the convention banquet in Washington, DC in 2005, Florida members added a special spark with their surprise “Disney Welcome to Orlando” live performance and fashion show. The award-winning cast included Francis Beecher, tourist; Kathy Borzell, Snow White; Betty Brewster, bathing beauty; Jim Diaz, Aladdin; Flo Innes, Cruella; Angie Nibert, Pocohontas; Dr. Patricia Krico, tourist; Larry Kavanaugh, movie director; Lynn Rousseau, Esmerelda; and Alan Brown, Sleepy. Lynn and Alan led them in an enthusiastic rendition of “off to work we go.” These two had worked tirelessly to form the Local Host Committee for Convention 2006 in Orlando.
