Their musical sets range from covering tunes from the 80’s era. Don’t be surprised to hear tunes from Adam Ant to Van Halen & everything in between. One of the attributes that sets 80’s Enough aside from other bands, is their ability to reproduce their selections to as close as the original artists like no other. Having a total of 4 vocalists (which is rare amongst cover bands) allows the band to reproduce a huge variety of songs. Let’s see your uncle’s band do that! During the spirited career of 80’s Enough, they have performed at tons of clubs, oodles of fests, and a plethora of private parties & corporate events. MEET THE BAND: LEAD VOCALS: Dee Dee is the vibrant beautiful lead singer of 80’s Enough. Her energetic stage presence and perfect pitch make her one sight that will not leave the collective minds of her audience any time soon. Dee Dee has been performing in bands since the ripe age of 16. Her exact age will not be stated but let’s assume that her experience spans for over many years. She has performed with bands of many different styles over that time. An elementary music teacher by day helps her to satisfy her musical fix by passing on her “musical know how” to today’s youth. But her real element is the stage, music, and of course, the audience. LEAD GUITAR—VOCALS: Kurt Bonomo reins as the lead guitarist & vocals position for 80’s Enough. As well as making private guitar lessons his full time job for the last 22 plus years, Kurt has been playing the local circuit in excess of 24 years. His recent credits include the guitar role for solo artist T.J. Dennis (female pop singer from Australia). Bonomo has, and still does accompany solo artist Lisa McClowry (singer and co-writer of various movie soundtracks which include “Rugrats In Paris” and “Dawson’s Creek”). More recent endeavors include performances with northwest Indiana’s acoustic cover band 2 Trailers Down and top 40 performing country band Desert Road & classic rock band Shortcuts. Kurt has hosted countless open mic nights with many musicians throughout the greater Chicago area for the past several years. BASS GUITAR—VOCALS: Johnny Sullivan takes care of the bass guitar & vocals duties for 80’s Enough. Some of Sullivan’s work was the drumming and writing duties for the rock group Loudmouth. Signed by Hollywood Records in the middle 90’s, Sullivan toured the U.S. for a year straight. During that time, Sullivan wrote and performed on the music soundtrack for an M-TV released movie called Varsity Blue. His song “Fly” took top billing over other artist’s such as Green Day and many others as it reached #8 on billboards top 100 and also went gold during that time. Influenced by old school musicians of yesteryear, Sullivan is considered to be one of the best and most well rounded players amongst his peers. DRUMS/PERCUSSION: Greg Campbell holds it all together for 80’s Enough. Campbell is a professional drummer and teacher with over 22 years of experience. Most recently he was performing and touring with blues guitarist Nick Moss. The group was nominated for the prestigious W.C. Handy (the equivalent to a Grammy for Blues) award in 2003 and again in 2004. Greg was also a member of the ten piece swing band "The Riff Rockets" and rock bands "I Speak Jive", "Japan Man" and "Ignatious". Other performing and recording credits include Kim Wilson and the "Fabulous Thunderbirds", Buddy Guy, Curtis Salgado of Santana, Willie Smith, Pinetop Perkins of Muddy Waters, Junior Watson, The Mighty Blue Kings, Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Rod Piaza and the Mighty Flyers, and Anson Funderburg. KEYBOARDS-VOCALS: Tom Brinkman is the professor behind the keys & vocals for 80’s Enough. Brinkman has been continuously playing keyboards in the Chicago land area for the last 20 plus years, and has been associated with all types of music in professional bands. He reads music and also plays by ear, composes, and produces songs and is presently completing a CD of all original material. He arranges music for the band and also sequences. Brinkman can play rock, classical, dance, blues, country, etc. Brinkman is a full time professional musician. Black and white photos throughout. 16 leaves, printed on single sides only (except for the last leaf). A few leaves printed on pink or light green paper. Third issue of this British fanzine (according to editor statement at the end), that “re-appropriated the negative, sensationalist coverage of punk in the tabloid press for its own ends” (Poynor, p. 333). Despite its straightforward format, Sunday Mirra combined good photography and clean layout to present news and gossip on the punk and new wave scene dosed with a tinge of sarcastic commentary. This issue with an interview with Johnny Rotten and Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols, a page devoted to reggae, news of the Buzzcocks, etc. GOOD condition. Last two leaves DETACHED but present. Front page toned, especially along the upper edge.

    The Fools Story - By Hugh Jarse Sometime around 1975, deep in the Home of the Fried Clam, Ipswich, Massachusetts, a really fun bunch of guys who had a band called "The Rhythm A's" somehow changed and became The Fools. This is their story. All entertainers have a gimmick, a shtick, if you will (even if you won't). The object of a Fools show was to blow real life out of all proportion and morph ‘just another night out to see a band’ into the most fun anyone had ever had — anywhere! Meeting with great success, it wasn't long before the lads were masterminding stage trickery, pratfalls, skits, themes, twisted audience participation, practical jokes, paybacks, big nights and even some colossal events. Then they discovered radio. In 1979 "Psycho Chicken," X-rated parody of The Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer," exploded over the airwaves of Boston. The boys were so excited they followed up almost at once with another whopping hit — "It's a Night for Beautiful Girls." And the guys weren't the only ones to get excited. EMI Records signed the band and sent them right out to tour the U.S. with The Knack. The tour was a smashing success. Then, off to Miami to record the victorious debut album "Sold Out." The 1980’s saw the band through a storybook journey of mounting success and achievement. Adoring fans, media attention, the second album "Heavy Mental," touring the U.S. with Van Halen, massive "hometown" shows in Boston, TV appearances galore, European Tours with dizzying record sales, music videos and MTV.
