My father 610-349-0120 owned a 1940 Ford before the Chevy and I’m sure it was my input that caused Membership him to make the switch. As a 4‐year‐old in 1949, I would hear Dinah on the radio Marty & Laura Hegyi 610-730-2695 singing her advertisement for Chevrolet, so when my parents were deciding what to buy, I put my two cents in…“Get a Chevy, Dad, they’re better on trips.” To this Events John Kostick, Jr. day, I can clearly remember going with my dad to pick up his new car. It was in 610-432-7172 the fall of 1949 that we waited for a bus on the porch of Allentown Hospital’s NCM Ambassador (Continued on page 10) Richard DeLeon 610-694-0772 Newsletter Editors Kevin & Michelle Minnich 610-530-0923 AACC Meetings @ Blue Monkey [email protected] The Allentown Area Corvette Club meets at 8:00 p.m. in the Webmaster Bud Benton Palm Room (upstairs) at the Blue Monkey, 1092‐1094 Hower‐ 610-252-0989 town Road, North Catasaqua, PA.
