SAT., NOV. 15 area. The name translates to “Little Green Men,” but during the late 1980s the band from Mendoza, Argentina had a sting of rock-pop ballad hits (“Tus Viejas Cartas,” “Cada vez que digo adios,” “Lamento Boliviano,” and “La Muralla Verde”) and have sold out stadiums in Viña del Mar (50,000 spectators) and Mendoza (35,000) in Argentina and Santiago, Chile (32,000). The Rock en Español band is celebrating their 30th anniversary next year, and their stop at the State Theatre is one of 28 confirmed dates, Enanitos’ longest tour in the United States. Their songs contain plenty of catchy choruses that have kept their fans singing along and swaying side-to- side during their shows for the past three decades. They’ve been banned by Axl Rose and ripped the shirts off Jack Black and Dave Grohl, so it’s clear they’ve shared bills their fair share of the best. Leave the cardigan at home and come see what every other band these days seems to be sorely lacking: enthusiasm. The Duke Spirit open.
