Freelance Wrestling’s first and only champion. Isaias Velasquez is the Floyd Mayweather of wrestling, a gifted wrestler who is supremely cocky and lets everyone know he can’t be beat. Velasquez won the title in a 4 way with Suge D, Robert Anthony and Craig Micthell. Since winning the title, everyone has been gunning to be the one to take him down, but no one has succeeded.

Suge D

Height: 6’1” Weight: 198 lbs. Augusta, GA

This is not the happy go lucky Sugar Dunkerton many folks may remember. Sure he brings out that side as the Kang of Entertainment, but when its time for business Suge D gets serious and intense. Suge D wants the respect he feels he deserves given his skills, and wants to achieve his goal of being a main eventer and not the comedy relief many think he still is. The blend of the two personalities has made him one of the most popular guys in Freelance Wrestling.

Robert Anthony is known as “The Ego” and believes he is the greatest pro wrestler. He has wrestled on numerous levels of pro wrestling, but coming to Freelance Wrestling has helped make wrestling fun for him again. He is now cheered by the fans as a popular antihero. The Ego has had his sights set on Isaias Velasquez and the title, but hasn’t been able to win it, thanks to the treachery of Craig Mitchell. Now Anthony faces a battle of Egos, with “All Ego” Ethan Page coming to Freelance to confront him.

Arik Cannon

The Anarchist Arik Cannon has been a major independent wrestling talent for more than 10 years. Now he may be best known as the Official PBR Wrestler and always brings the party to any promotion he is part of. And if there’s anything the Freelance Wrestling faithful love, its a great party! He is down to fight anyone on the roster and the crowd loves him for it.

Craig Mitchell is a skilled amateur-style wrestler from Chicago that has surprising agility for a big man. He debuted for Freelance Wrestling on their first show. Since then he has been tied to Freelance Champions Isaias Velasquez. First the two had mutual respect and teamed together, before Velasquez turned on Mitchell. Eventually Mitchell realized he was better with Velaquez than against him, and helped Isaias win the Freelance Title and has been supporting him as part of Team Beta Training ever since.

Matt Knicks

Height: 5’ 8” Weight: 200 lbs. Chicago, IL

Matt Knicks has been wrestling with Freelance since their debut show, always tagging with his longtime partner Chris Castro as the Four Star Heroes. Knicks is one of Chicago’s favorite sons, and is both a solid amateur wrestler and high flyer. The Four Star Heroes had a lengthy feud with Beauty and the Beast for the first year of the promotion culminating in a street fight.The duo then made it to the finals of the Tag Team Title tournament, before losing in the finals. That started a string of the duo losing when the spotlight shone the brightest. That pattern held true in February 2016, when they lost a 3-way match for the titles, and Knicks took his frustrations out on his partner Chris Castro, ending their relationship.

Chris Castro is an agile big man and a force to be reckoned with in the Freelance Wrestling ring. Castro has been a tag team competitor since the beginning of the promotion. However, with Matt Knicks turning on him and breaking up the Four Star Heroes, he will have to go it alone for now.

Bryce Benjamin

Height: 5’ 9” Weight: 185 lbs. Chicago, IL

The man once known as Bryce Benjamin, now better known as B Ryce, is one of the best kept secrets in Midwest wrestling, with a blend of high flying, technical and strike-based wrestling. B Ryce is best known as one half of the former Freelance Wrestling champions The N Words, with Acid Jaz. The two came together in late 2014 and were immediate fan favorites, although they are far from squeaky clean baby faces. The duo beat the Four Star Heroes in the tournament finals to be the first Freelance tag team champions, before losing the belts to Beauty and the Beast early in 2016.

Stevie Fierce

Rob Matter

Height: 5’ 8” Weight: 160 lbs. Davenport, IA

Beauty and the Beast is one of the most unique tag teams in wrestling. Stevie Fierce is the Beauty half, and is a self-obsessed narcissist. He believes that he is the most beautiful human to ever walk on the face of the earth, and with his trusty mirror and arsenal of high-flying moves looks to rid the world of ugliness. Rob Matter is the Beast half of the tag team. Despite his small stature, Rob Matter believes his is the biggest and baddest man there is in Freelance Wrestling. He provides the muscle to the team, and his move set is more tailored to someone twice his size, but don’t tell him that! Beauty and the Beast shocked Freelance Wrestling fans when they won the Tag Team titles in early 2016.

Yabo the Clown

Ruffo the Clown

When you hear the creepy sounds your smiles become frowns. That’s what happens when the Brothers of Funstruction come on the scene. Yabo and Ruffo started their Freelance careers in a violent feud against each other, when Ruffo was known as the big outlaw Ruff Crossing. The feud ended in a Street Fight when Yabo defeated Ruff Crossing after a bizarre interaction. The next month Yabo revealed to the crowd that the two were actually brothers, and wanted to now work together with his estranged brother. Ruffo agreed and donned the makeup and become a sadistic clown as well.
