CWU's goal is to become the #l regionalcomprehensive transfer intuition in Washington State. One tactic to achieve this goal is to host transfer symposiums for feeder community colleges. This November, three regional symposiums willtake place in Ellensburg, at CWU-Lynnwood and at CWU- Pierce County. CWU-Pierce County, Thursday, November 7, 10am-3pm Community Colleges: Olympic College, Highline College, Green River College, South Seattle College, Renton Technical College, Pierce College, Tacoma College, South Puget Sound Community College Symposiums Broader Goal Become the #1 transfer-friendly institution in llashington Washington State's community colleges are ranked # 1 in the nation. The goal of this symposium is to work collaboratively with our 2 year partners towards becoming the # 1 transfer-friendly institution in Washington. To achieve this goal, the objectives of the symposium were collaboratively crafted by representatives from the 4-year and2-year systems and cover a broad spectrum ofstakeholders. Symposium Purpose T r an sfe r-fr ie n dly p r o c e s s The main purpose of the symposium is to identi$r transfer friendly processes. These process are not limited to academic programs therefore the purpose of the symposium includes looking at the transfer G C a & CWU m 't891' LEARN. DO. During the symposium there will be opportunities for peer alike faculty and staff to building community and connections in a variety of areas such as academics, student services, financial aid, advising and international programs. During the day-long event, participants will work together to identifli resources that support the CTCs guided pathways initiatives while learning about transfer resources and programs at CWU. The agenda for the day also includes a variety ofopportunities to share information about the unique needs ofcurrent and future transfer students through exploring real scenarios ofprevious and current students.
