Piirsuarit to 47 C.F.R. 1.401, Charles Crawford respectfully petrttions the FCC to institute a Rule Making ~~r:)c.eedingto amend the FM Table of Allotments to add Chinri(?l 255A at Trinity, Texas.
DISCUSSION Pelitioner respectfully submits that the public interest 11j Ire served by allocating Channel 255A to Trinity, that community's first local FM service. Trinity 1 ii; ii:~~incorporated city with a population of 2,721 people. Three Iil.ir?dred husinesses in Trinity have been given a crzdit rating hy Dun & Bradstreet as of the last quarter of 2000 ai:i:ording to the Texas Almanac 2002/ 2003. Trinity h.i- its own mayor, Lyle Stubbs, city manager, Karen Hatter, it:; QWI: post office, fire department, police department and i: rncmber of local churches. The proposed channel 255A will provide additional diversity and an outlet for local self- expression to Tri~nity residents and therefore is in the pihlic i iitrrest .
