This is a circular walk “ Hereabouts, the canal borders the southern boundary of the North Wilt- shire Clay Vale, and the limestone hills around Bath and Dundas are but a distant memory. It is almost as if the Kennet & Avon Canal is pausing for breath before the rigors of the Caen Hill Locks just a few miles distant. The villages of Seend and Seend Cleeve, midway between Trowbridge and Devizes, straddle a small ridge of hills overlooking this section of the canal. Along the waterway lies a selection of locks and an old iron works site. “ “ A map of the Seend Walk Sponsored by the Kennet & Avon Trade Association— working to provide facilities for users of the K&A Canal Page 1 seend Circular Walk Take a stroll through Seend Leave the Barge car park and turn right, following the lane into Seend Cleeve. Turn sharp right, and follow the right-hand hedgerow across the next couple of fields. Beyond a gate in the corner of the second field, continue directly ahead across a couple of smaller fields to Seend Park Swingbridge and the Kennet & Avon Canal.
