ADVANCED TRAINING & COMPETITION AT THE WORLD CUP June 26-29, 2012 Oklahoma City University Oklahoma City, OK The Softball Factory Advanced Training & Competition at the World Cup combines training, competitive game play and a chance to watch the USA Softball Women’s National Team at the World Cup of Softball! Players will be immersed in softball from morning till night at the home of USA Softball. Softball Factory’s professional coaches will work with you on all aspects of your game. This unique event surrounding the World Cup of Softball is one you won’t want to miss! Advanced Training & Competition at the World Cup Benefits: Attend a USA Softball game during the World Cup of Softball • You have the opportunity to attend a game during the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City, OK. See the best players in the world faceoff at a USA Softball game. Tour ASA/USA Softball Hall of Fame • Players will meet with a current member of the USA Softball Women’s National Team before taking a tour of the ASA/USA Softball Hall of Fame. Three days of intense training and competition with our professional staff • Our professional coaching staff includes Director of Softball Operations, Lea Ann Jarvis. Lea Ann is regarded as one of the best catchers to ever grace the softball diamond; she won two World Championships on the USA National Team in 1986 and 1990. • Work with our professional coaches on all aspects of your game including hitting, pitching, defense and base running. • Put your training to the test against your talented peers during competitive game play. Training will take place alongside the 2012 World Cup of Softball! Lodging Info: Softball Factory Event Headquarters Oklahoma City University 2501 North Blackwelder Avenue Oklahoma City, OK 73106 Parents, ask for the special “Softball Factory” rate at the Hilton Garden Inn (2809 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73112; 405.607.400) to receive a rate of $99/night including breakfast. Itinerary to Include: June 26 Player Arrival (by 12 pm at Will Rogers World Airport), Check-in, Player/Staff Introductions, Afternoon Instruction, Dinner, Evening Instruction and Presentation. June 27-28 Breakfast, Morning Instruction, Lunch, Afternoon Instruction, Dinner. Instruction stations focused on hitting, fielding, pitching, base running, and speed and strength training. Meet & greet with a USA Softball Team member and tour of Hall of Fame; attend USA Softball game. June 29 Breakfast, Morning Instruction, Lunch, Departure (after 1 PM at Will Rogers World Airport). Coaches Scheduled Lea Ann Jarvis: current Director of Softball Operations at Softball Factory. Lea Ann won to Attend Include: two World Championships with the USA National Team in 1986 and 1990. She coached at the Division I level for 17 years and was a two-time NCAA All-American while playing for Louisiana Tech. Important Training Info: ♦ Players traveling alone will be greeted by Softball Factory staff at baggage claim ♦ Players are transported in charter buses/vans from site to site ♦ Players are fully supervised 24 hours a day ♦ All player meals will be covered throughout the duration of the event ♦ Players will receive a Softball Factory jersey ♦ Players will receive a Louisville Slugger TPX headband ♦ No spending money needed, but players may bring money for souvenirs at the USA Softball Game and Hall of Fame ♦ Players will receive Softball Factory’s Recruiting, Education and Development (R.E.D.)
