In the following special series of articles, Pacifica News Service contributing editor Peter Dale Scott, a veteran researcher of US covert operations, details the origins of the "secret teams" that lie at the hear of the scandal; how over the years efforts to "dispose" of them only drove them deeper underground, where they played key roles in some of the most controversial covert exploits of the US; the extent to which both teams operated with their own agendas, marked by an ultra-right ideology that has its origins with the Nazis.
