Moreover we add comments on selected rare, newly recorded or rediscov- ered species and remarkable records and point out nomenclatural alterations. Zusammenfassung: Im Nachgang zur Neufassung der Roten Listen Bayerns wird eine nach Naturraumgruppen regionalisierte Checkliste der Wasserkäfer für den Bezugsraum vorgestellt. Ausgewählte seltene Arten, Erst- und Wiederfunde, bemerkenswerte Nachweise und nomenklatorische Neuerungen werden kommentiert bzw. dokumentiert. Einleitung Im Zuge der Vorarbeiten zur Neufassung der Roten Liste gefährdeter Wasserkäfer Bayerns (Hebauer et al., [2004]) waren in größerem Umfang aktuelle faunistische Daten zusammenzutragen und Altmeldungen gegenüber zu stellen. Die Autoren kamen überein, diese Arbeiten auch nach dem Erscheinen der Roten Liste weiter zu führen und zur Aufstellung einer Checkliste zu nutzen. Die hiermit vorgelegte kommentierte Liste versteht sich als Aktualisierung und Fortschreibung des Katalogs der bayerischen Wasserkäfer (Hebauer, 1994a, Stand August 1992), der ersten und bislang einzigen Zusammenstellung dieser Art für das Bundesland. Wesentliche Neuerung ist eine nach naturräumlichen Regionen differenzierte Darstellung mit grober artbezogener Bilanzierung der Anzahl bekannter Fundorte. -

Notes on the distribution of Augyles marmota (Kiesenwetter, 1850) (Heteroceridae), Trichodes punctatus Fischer von Waldheim, 1829 (Cleridae), Laena reitteri Weise, 1877 (Tenebrionidae), Brachysomus ornatus Stierlin, 1892, Lixus cylindrus (Fabricius, 1781) (Curculionidae), Mylacomorphus globus (Seidlitz, 1868) (Curculionidae) are given. During a short collecting trip to Montenegro in 2014, 26 locations were sampled and 692 specimens belonging to 45 species of water beetles were collected. The following species are recorded for the first time from Montenegro: Haliplus dal- matinus J. Müller, 1900, Haliplus heydeni Wehncke, 1875, Haliplus laminatus (Schaller, 1783), Hydroporus erythrocephalus (Linnaeus, 1758), Hyphydrus anatolicus (Guignot, 1957), Melanodytes pustulatus (Rossi, 1792) and Rhantus bistriatus (Bergsträsser, 1778). The addition of these seven species brings the total of Hydradephaga known from Montenegro to 91 species. The new records are presented and an updated checklist of the Hydradephaga of Montenegro is given. Hydroporus Macedonicus Nov. Spec., a New Member of the Hydroporus Planus-Group (Coleoptera, Dytiscidae)

PESIC A b s t r a c t: Hydroporus macedonicus nov. spec. is described from the Kožuf mountains in the southern part of the Republic of Macedonia. The species belongs to the Hydroporus planus-group, but its broad and stout habitus resembles at first glance that of members of other groups, e. g. such as Hydroporus kraatzii SCHAUM 1867. Further external characters as well as molecular data show, however, that the new species is related to south-eastern European populations of Hydroporus discretus FAIRMAIRE & BRISOUT 1859. One of its characteristic features are the brownish latero- basal areas on the black elytra, a pattern which occurs also in other populations of H. discretus of which two have already been described: Hydroporus discretus ab. woerndlei ZIMMERMANN 1919 and Hydroporus discretus tatricus KINEL 1949. Introduction During a collecting trip through the southern part of the Republic of Macedonia in July 2004 the junior author found two males of Hydroporus CLAIRVILLE 1806, which could not be attributed to any known species. On the other hand the species can easily be iden- tified as belonging to the Hydroporus planus-[or fuscipennis-]group, although - due to the broad and stout habitus - it resembles at first glance Hydroporus kraatzii SCHAUM 1867 or even Hydroporus lundbladi (FALKENSTRÖM 1938). -

A central feature of the European Water Framework Directive are the reference conditions. The ecological quality status is determined by calculating the distance between the present situation and the reference conditions. To describe reference conditions the natural variation of biota in pristine water bodies should be measured. Because pristine water bodies are not present in the Netherlands anymore, water bodies (springs, streams, rivers and oxbow lakes) in central Poland were investigated. Macrophytes and macroinvertebrates were sampled and environmental variables were measured. The water bodies appeared to have a high biodiversity and a good ecological quality. -
